  1. NO, I am NOT happy about it. She has my sympathy and hopes for a full recovery after treatment. Cancer sucks. -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  2. Um, yes. Why would you doubt that? We have fireworks stores here that are open all year 'round! -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  3. And now every year they celebrate his execution with "Guy Fawkes Day," glorying in the fact that they put him to death for threatening their democracy. Someone should tell them that it's wrong to feel bloodlust and to glory in vengeance. Wendy W. and PhillyKev called that "disgusting" behavior in another thread. Said it was wrong, even if the person you are vengeful against was trying to kill or rob you... -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  4. This is funny -- I know that quote from the old QUEENSRYCHE song!! (I forgot the title of it, though.) They play Reagan saying that at the end! -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  5. Exactly. All one need do is look at Kerry's 100% anti-gun voting record in the senate, and then at his pathetic, despicable attempt to FOOL American gun owners into thinking a) that he's a hunter "just like them," and b) that he does not stand front-and-center for taking away, in large or small chunks it matters not, their right to own firearms. He looked us in the face and told us what we knew was an obvious lie. We don't like that. -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  6. Un-fucking real. There are people on that message board saying that they think this election was stolen/rigged! Yes, that's right, someone managed to slip a few MILLION extra votes in for the Republican candidate for president -- and then did the same for loads of congressional races, and even rigged the gains made by Republican governors! Noooo, it couldn't be that simply more Americans wanted Republicans in office than not! What a bunch of idiots populating that site with their ridiculous conspiracy theories. That and their vitriol for Americans and Bush. -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  7. So, ya figure that makes it fair to put words in my mouth indiscriminately since I've used so many other...words. Nice. Um, it'd be nice if you could point out where I brought "REVENGE" or even "PUNISHMENT" into this. ALL I was talking about, in your case, was feeling compassion for a MISFORTUNE suffered by a person as he was attempting to cause you harm. You appear to be confused by what I wrote, even though I made no attempt to mislead. I suggest reading my other posts again. -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  8. Wouldn't that be "suicide spectate"? Are you saying there's anyone who would care to keep him from offing himself? -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  9. Does Safeway make an artificially flavored "Chunky Fat Ignorant Shitstain Gorilla" variety? If so, that's the one. -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  10. I'm afraid I just don't get it. I really don't. What does it mean to be served an ASBO that says you are banned from destroying others' property?? Doesn't the LAW say that, for ALL of the people?! Is an ASBO just a way of saying, "Commit this crime one more time, and we'll actually punish you"?! Call me crazy, but I want people who commit crimes PUNISHED, not WARNED. -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  11. I also noticed that terrorists have not blown up a single U.S. building since the ones they destroyed on 9/11/01. Three-plus years. That doesn't mean I take for granted that they are not intent on doing so in the future, and possibly plotting to do so as we speak. Who said blow up? What if they tried a hostage takeover of it, like that Russian school? Are you saying that if ten terrorists tried to take over a polling place where 150 people are voting, and say, 20% of those people were carrying guns, that the terrorist event might not be thwarted by an armed resistance from citizens? Even if casualties were suffered, it would be better than what subsequently happened when NO ONE was armed to defend that school in Russia. -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  12. I have not called you or anyone else "unAmerican." So please don't imply that I have, or that that is how I feel. I certainly understand and agree that disagreeing is a fundamental right. You have it. I have it. Even Soros has it. But when he tries to exert magnified influence over how we are governed just because he has the money to purchase that influence, I think it's wrong. I think it is bad. I will glory in its failure every time. I find it puzzling that you would not be glad for someone's misfortune even if it occurred while they were trying to HURT YOU. (Were you responding to my "armed robber" example?!) I call that misplaced compassion of the first order. -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  13. Ditto. I used to be strongly pro-choice, but much more strongly pro-gun, so I voted Bush. I am lately a lot less pro-choice because I have begun to view the fetus a lot less biologically... What I mean is, I see it more and more as a "human being" when I used to think, "Oh, it's just a bunch of cells, and doesn't think yet." I am not crazy about abortion, and I have historically been very in favor of the adult human being being able to direct her life, including not being saddled with an unwanted pregnancy. A person who has to have a kid because abortion is unavailable to her after a botched attempt at birth control is not necessarily going to be a very loving parent -- and the father may skip out altogether. That is reason for not bringing that kid into the world. Add to that the fact that BANNING THINGS JUST DOES NOT WORK IN THIS WORLD -- take guns, drugs, prostitution or abortion as prime examples -- and you realize that all you would accomplish by banning abortion statutarily would be to drive it underground, as it was in the past, and that will kill women in addition to fetuses. I say leave it legal, as much as I hate it. And then pray for forgiveness. P.S. It's "ROE," not "ROWE." -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... 14. Let's remember his UTTER HYPOCRISY. He spent millions bankrolling the McCain-Feingold travesty of "campaign finance reform" and then HID BEHIND A "527" to do exactly what they were all lying to the American public that their legislation would do: get the money out of politics. The guy's a megalomaniacal, hypocritical scumbag, and do take glee in the fact that he wasted his money and effort and didn't win. Or is there some way of defending his support of "taking the money out of politics" and then spending tens of millions in soft money to put it back in and try to steer an election? Please, if there is, someone explain it to us. -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  15. Dude, if a guy tried to stick someone up at an ATM and ended up shooting himself in the thraat, you can bet your ass I'd laugh my head off as he bled out. When someone is doing something BAD or WRONG or UNFAIR, it certainly IS fair to laugh at his failure to accomplish it to his satisfaction. -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  16. The richest guys I can think of, Bill Gates and George Soros, are LIBERALS. I don't know off-hand of any republicans who are BILLIONAIRES. Seems that the richest people are the hypocrites who scream against using money in politics, and then they do exactly that. And let's not pretend that leading democrats in congress are not rich beyond anything you or I have. -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  17. Who said I felt "bad" for him? Shit, I wish he had lost 98.8% of his fuckin' money. The exultation is not so much about the money, since I know he has more. It's about the fact that he must surely feel like a SHITHEEL because he did what he could as a BILLIONAIRE and he STILL could not get satisfaction! A meddlesome socialist social engineer rights-stealer like him, trying to affect my life and the lives of MILLIONS of other people just because he has billions of dollars that he thinks entitle him to do so... I relish a person like that getting put back in his fucking place. It was like the American people served him a tall, cool glass of, "Shut the fuck up and crawl back into your hole!" But really. The AUDACITY of a person who feels that his wealth entitles him to steer the direction of an election, rather than just casting his individual VOTE... That's got to be some sort of psychological disorder, right up there with megalomania. The guy has got to be the closest thing the real world has to a James Bond villain, in terms of his greed and self-importance. -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  18. Oh, I'm going to miss them... Just like I missed Alec Baldwin when he left! ...What's that? He reneged, and didn't leave?! Ahh. Typical lying liberal! -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  19. Banning guns Banning fox hunting Putting cameras on every street corner to supervise the people Passing "ASBOs" Outlawing free speech (stuff you can't say about racial groups, etc. if you so desire) Working to end trial by jury Working to end grand juries Please, give me something to smile about with regard to what is going on in England lately. -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  20. No. I get along well with people in real life, and while I have pretty intense views on things all around, I am a lot softer on the edges about it when I'm not typing it here. Thankfully. -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  21. About the fact that meddlesome asshole George Soros wasted tens of millions of dollars to see his candidate lose the election? I found myself giggling out loud about it at work today. -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  22. "Nahh! Not rotten enough!" -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  23. You would have to be able to establish that it is "reasonable" for a person to suspect criminal intent from a person who is going about normal, everyday activities, but who has a gun on his belt and is not brandishing it or acting in a deliberately intimidating manner. It is REASONABLE to expect a "reasonable person" to know that the law in his state allows people to carry firearms openly! I think that's crap. I don't believe you. Why is that? Because criminals or terrorists could never show up to do innocent people harm at a polling place? What is this bizarro logical standard you seem to be employing to determine what is a "reasonable" place for a citizen to carry a firearm? What's to stop you from claiming the same thing about a library? A hospital? A supermarket? A movie theater? Bullshit. Legal is whatever the law does not say is illegal. You're a cop? And you claim such a subjective purview over what laws to enforce?! -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
  24. Even if the law, say, in a place like Virginia, expressly allows it? There's no possible way you can justify calling legal behavior a breach of the public peace. -Jeffrey -Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"
