  1. Nope. Most of them are simply people who are completely unaffiliated and just looking to feed and shelter themselves. That is to say, a LOT of functional homeless people pick this work up. So you agree with my point the Democrat protests are not Grassroots. They're simply bought and paid for Only if you agree that ALL protests in DC use this tactic to greater or lesser degrees. It's extraordinarily common. It is to DC what Central Casting is to Hollywood. It's simply a fact of life in DC as much as the subway or cabs or monuments. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

  3. I'm not going to explain the whole Washington DC professional protester thing, but know it's a thing and for the most part it tends to be done to protect the relative innocent (nascent) people who would otherwise want to stand on the front line and be arrested. The professionals are the ones expected to insert themselves at the front and get arrested when the time comes giving other people time to escape. Pretty much every major protest I've ever seen in DC going as far back as I can remember. AND, I might add, this happens almost every day, 365 days a year. Movement leaders are expected to be arrested, professional protesters are expected to be arrested, Joe Blow average guy who showed up . . . not so much. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

  5. Yes, that was the deal, but I'm sure Assange is going to make some excuse now to not leave the embassy. Assange has gone a bit wacky in the last few years. Even his long time friends no longer talk about him the way they used to. Greenwald is convinced Assange has turned into a "burn it all down" kind of guy. The deal . . . https://twitter.com/wikileaks/status/819630102787059713 Screen shot attached. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  6. Source and more: http://www.cnn.com/2017/01/17/politics/chelsea-manning-sentence-commuted/index.html I'm not 100% certain this was the right move. I get it though. I wish Obama would pardon Snowden too in order to remove him as a bargaining chip to be played by Trump against Putin. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  7. 1. You probably shouldn't presume "no one." I know a lot of folks who aren't wild about the current state of the US security state. I'm one of them. I complain about it quite a bit. 2. There is a difference between what traffic cameras can gather from afar and what a body camera can gather close up. They are two completely different devices with completely different issues surrounding them. 3. Just because a lot of people in society have given up on privacy, doesn't mean it isn't a concern. Just because a person has to accept a ridiculous amount of surveillance in some situations, doesn't means it's acceptable in all situations. 4. We've done this to ourselves. Only we can fight it. If the current surveillance state were even hinted at in the 1950s, there would have been riots against government intrusion. How did we get to this point? A ridiculous amount of fear over things that we probably don't even need to consider, yet are obsessed with like terrorism on US soil. No company, city, county, state, whatever wants to be the victim of terrorism, yet the odds of it happening to 99% of the country is so incredibly low it's not even worth thinking about -- yet, there are the cameras, there is the NSA, there is all of the wasted funding. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  8. Okay, it's not the LEDs per se, but the "square wave light" being admitted by them. Come on now, get with the program. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  9. Then you have been the victim of a con-job. I don't blame you, but your beliefs don't hold up against the facts. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

  12. Well, you do have the following SCUM plotting the following: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHZSfhd1X_8&feature=youtu.be Project Veritas has zero credibility. None. Proven bullshit in the past and no reason to believe they've changed their ways. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  13. No. The trail of "evidence" is far too tainted. This will never go anywhere except to help promote the cottage industry of speculative fiction surrounding the case. We might as well be talking about Bigfoot. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  14. Based on your opening post . . . come on now. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  15. I dunno. Going to be pretty difficult to distinguish it from the devastation being caused by the neo-nazis going on their Kristallnacht rampage. Fortunately the NSA will have us covered so we can sort it all out later. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

  17. 1) A LOT of people haven't read the actual document. 2) The actual document says he hired hookers to pee on a bed slept in my Hillary -- not Trump himself. I think that part people just assume, but in keeping with the germaphobe aspects, as I said, not Trump himself, but the bed. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  18. Too erudite for the 45th administration. Would probably go something like, "Bigly Guy Paying Back People to Make America Great Again." quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  19. Yup, that about sounds like the new America. The first tip it might be a wee bit inaccurate were the trumpets from Patton. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  20. It's unknowable. I agree that perhaps a different candidate might have done better against Trump, but it's literally unknowable. I think a lot of the post-election analysis and especially the part about the "white working class" being the voting force which got Trump into office is pure bunk. I think there are far more subtle things going on in a lot more areas people are unwilling to discuss. For instance, 53% of registered white women did not vote for Hillary. Come on, now. If, with all the women's issues in the US, 53% of white women didn't vote for Hillary and just allowed Trump to win, something is fundamentally wrong. It's difficult to say exactly what, but I have a difficult time wrapping my mind around why they just didn't turn out for her. I'm not suggesting they should simply vote with their genitals, but if you look at women's issues and what Hillary was proposing versus Trump it should have been a pretty easy decision for them to support her. As for Obama being a net negative for the Democrats, I don't think so. I think the only mistake, and it was years ago, was his embracing the name "Obamacare" because it gave the Republicans a rallying cry. If anyone rationally looks at the 44th Administration as a whole, it's had some mistakes, it's done a few things I disagree with, but as a whole it has been a net positive for the country. Certainly the country as a whole is in far better shape today than when he took his first oath of office. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  21. That already exists. There are a few places places along the border where a person can simply go from one side to the other with no impediment, but that's rarely what happens because it would be stupid because those places aren't travel corridors. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  22. I've seen a lot of mythology. I've seen descriptions of Zeus throwing thunderbolts from clouds. I'm reasonably certain that doesn't happen. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

  24. My feeling is that religion was important in structuring and organizing societies. The most successful tribes had the most powerful Gods. Not that much has changed it seems. Putin uses the levers of religion to help him maintain control. I can agree with that. Most "kings" got their authority from "god." It's a powerful weapon of control to have. It's also one of the reasons we (the US) told King George to go fuck himself. That said, I'm surprised (okay maybe not so much) at how much the difference the US shows to some current "kings" who also maintain control of their people through religion. KSA for instance. Pure bullshit. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
  25. Maybe. I guess the only way for us to confirm this is to see some photos. I've never been to one. But I'm guessing there is a very strong taboo against taking pictures there. I think a series of selfies by her would suffice. j/k -- don't do that. quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
