  1. When I'm in the US, I tip minimum 20%. Usually more. I worked my way through college and grad school as a waitress. On the plus side, I think I learned more from being a hostess and waitress than I did in college or grad school. One of those lessons was how to deal with difficult people while keeping a smile on your face and preserving your dignity. It wasn't a lesson I learned very quickly, though I haven't seen such convoluted lines of conversation and such expert chronicling thereof since my days of all day bong marathons in college. ~ Lindercles
  2. In my humble (as always) opinion, it's not the sex that has created so much turmoil in our world... it's the judgment of others. Why should one person feel so privileged to approve or condemn what another does - whether in the bedroom, or anyplace else? 3. Does anyone else find it strange that Bush is being complimented lately for being "realistic"? I am not sure this is a compliment. I haven't seen such convoluted lines of conversation and such expert chronicling thereof since my days of all day bong marathons in college. ~ Lindercles

  5. For some reason I reached a saturation point with skydiving as well. I still love it, but I don't NEED to be in the air anymore. I also have a couple of new exciting, high-adrenaline sports that seem more interesting to me than jumping on certain days. To be honest, I am a bit sad about it because skydiving defined so much of who I was for a few years. Now it's just a part of me that I like. I guess we should just go forward with how we feel and do whatever is most exciting. It's pretty cool though, that we have so many amazing sports to choose from I haven't seen such convoluted lines of conversation and such expert chronicling thereof since my days of all day bong marathons in college. ~ Lindercles
  6. Alcohol is a disinhibitor, meaning it removes inhibition. With her inhibitions removed, she demonstrated that she likes and trusts you. You don't have to talk about it with her, because the natural inhibitions will be back in place without the alcohol. But you should definitely ask her out! My first 6a+

Are there any other climbers out there? I just started, but did my first 6a+ in a climbing hall in Interlaken (Switzerland) a couple of days ago. I am still stoked. Does anyone have any advice on how to improve? My major problem is that I blow my forearms out very early, which I assume means that I'm using too much strength and too little technique. I guess it could also mean that I use my upper body too much and my legs too little. Any help? 9. Yeah, I'm with i.c. You guys usually say stuff much better than I could. Especially RhondaLea. She is smart - and wise. Very intimidating. Anyway, it's also fun to lurk I haven't seen such convoluted lines of conversation and such expert chronicling thereof since my days of all day bong marathons in college. ~ Lindercles

  11. Reminds me of a joke... Little Amy goes to her first day at school. When she comes home her mommy asks "What did you learn today at school, Amy?" Amy replies, "umm, well, I, uh , kinda, learned, where babies come from." Mommy: "Oh? That's interesting. Why don't you tell me?" Amy (very shy): "Uh, well, first, um, the mommy and the daddy, they start kissing. Then, well, um, they, uh take their clothes off. Then... um, the daddy's thingie... well, it kinda stands up. Then, um, the mommy? She puts it in her mouth, and it, well kinda explodes. That's how you get babies." Mommy: "Oh, honey, that's sweet. But that's not how you get babies. That's how you get jewelry!" I haven't seen such convoluted lines of conversation and such expert chronicling thereof since my days of all day bong marathons in college. ~ Lindercles

  19. I just got an SMS from him asking to borrow the car on Friday night to pick up the new girlfriend he scored on Sunday night (with my car). I am so ready to ... what did billvon say ... put the keepdown, or something? Anyway, I'm about to lose it.... I'll start memorising diver's keepdown, just in case I need some backup. 21. Thanks to those being supportive, but I agree with Ummm....both? Need a different, respectful friend?*** I share some of the blame somehow - though I never saw it coming. I am more mad at myself than him for some reason. I didn't confront him. I just cut the conversation off when he got to the donuts part. He wants to borrow it again when I'm in the US. We all know what that answer will be I haven't seen such convoluted lines of conversation and such expert chronicling thereof since my days of all day bong marathons in college. ~ Lindercles
  22. I loaned my car to a friend that said he was in a pinch. I gave it to him on Saturday afternoon and he returned it on Monday at noon. He drove 1600 kilometers (1000 miles!) in 48 fucking hours. He even laughed about how much fun it is to make donuts in the snow with it. Maybe this should be a poll: Too nice or complete idiot. I don't know if this matters, but I am a girl and this is a guy so no chance of me punching his lights out.... Lonely

Ummm, sorry to intrude because this seems like a pretty personal thread, but I will be in California for a few weeks over the holidays and if anyone is really lonely, I'm looking for people to jump with. I'll be in both southern and northern Cal with my brother, who jumps as well. We are both freeflyers - him: 400 jumps (lots of talent), me 700 jumps (more experience) -- not that we have any sibling rivalry or anything... 24. Registration was about USD 23 (USD 15 for members of Bero and Triengen) and jump tickets were about USD 30. I haven't seen such convoluted lines of conversation and such expert chronicling thereof since my days of all day bong marathons in college. ~ Lindercles
