Thanks for the replies all. Greatly appreciated. Basically I've researched the manufacturers, read the reviews, and talked with other jumpers.....When I make the decision and finish student training, I'll advise what I choose. Thanks again! John

Here's a question for the masses.....how do you choose a RIG? Are you able to demo them like canopies? Or do you basically go on peer reviews? Spatula

Under Armour makes outstanding gear for cold weather....leggings/shirts with mid collars, and full head/face protection. I haven't jumped it, but know of many who do and praise it. Form fitting, comfortable. Hope that helps. www.underarmour.com

Don't feel bad...I did my AFF in June and due to a lack of funds, I have to wait until the spring. It's frickin killing me!!! So I feel you pain, but keep with it!!

Goose, Good points! I had thought about it but felt kinda weird just hanging out at the DZ and not jumping. But you make many good points. I did my AFF w/ Mario and John. Mario cracked me up, great guy. John is a wealth of knowledge too. I though I read that you said SS (skydive suffolk) was open year round, is that true? Shoot me an email (in my profile) and we should definitly hook up @ the DZ!!

Funds right now are tight. Just built a house and it's sucking money. But once spring rolls around I'll be at the DZ every weekend.... Spatula

How's it going everyone! I'm new to the world of skydiving (and frickin' love it). I have 3 jumps and am working towards my "A". Hope to have that done early spring 04. I'm jumping @ Skydive Suffolk in VA (www.skydivesuffolk.com) and it's a great DZ. I hope to absorb as much as I can from the experience on these forums. Spatula
