    I think if you were to argue that, you could go deeper and deeper in causes. I think you could also argue that poverty contributes to the "causes" listed above. If you are financially better off, are you dependant on social welfare programs which may not be very effective? If you are financially better off, are you more likely to be exposed to better health education/birth control/clinical resources? If you are financially better off, is being a single mother/father as big of a deal?     An underfunded, or poorly conceived/implemented solution hardly equals a well funded, well executed solution. Agreed? It's like saying, "All we need in Iraq is one big surge, and it could be over!" Sure, you can typically resolve issues with brute force (e.g. the "wrestling coach method"), but you have to have the legitimate resources to brute force your problem.     I think this is a point which requires expansion. I (and I suspect a reasonable amount of people) don't consider ALL or even MOST cops pigs, or any other name. I think that my demographic even expects that to some extent, mistakes can be made, everybody is human, and sometimes you screw up on the job. I do believe, however, that a certain amount of people involved in law enforcement will use their position of higher authority to try to cover up mistakes, present a position of infallibility, and just generally attempt to bully people around who might question their procedures. I think these members of law enforcement are NOT entitled to our respect, and names such as pig are entirely appropriate. People who bully (in Aka's initial post, some asshole saying "wait till we get you alone") do not deserve respect or employment within law enforcement. .jim "Don't touch my fucking Easter eggs, I'll be back monday." ~JTFC

    As mentioned time and time before, there is no linkage between "my kids may choose church or not" AND "my kids can do whatever the fuck they want. As pointed out before, your kid could become just as much of a fatty at church as they can at home playing video games. At home playing video games, they at least get hand-eye coordination.     It doesn't have to have anything to do with a liberal or conservative agenda, or democrats and republicans. Things you are labelling "political" and refusing to consider the effects of (and for fucks sake I have no idea why), like credited income or government spending, have a BIG effect on the response of the model. It's not. Further, you sit and bitch about nobody operating with your "defined parameters". Nobody wants to discuss within the parameters you set because they are too narrow to begin with. Quit trying to cherrypick or coax the answer you want out of everybody else.
