  2. Its working now, nice pics! I will make it a mission to be there next year!!
  3. One method I found effective. I have seen spyware that could not be removed even in safe mode because the dll's are already in use as soon as the computer booted up in ANY mode. I used a program called ERD Commander that basically is XP booting off a CD so no files on the HD are used. You can then go in and delete the dll and registry entries manually with no problem. In many cases I found that AdAware and the other programs could identify the files installed but could not delete them because of the sharing violations. Good Luck! Shawn _________________

    Sky memories

Dagny, Its a good thing to sacrifice a bit to make your dreams! It may be a bitch now, but when you reach those goals you will know that it was worth it. I won't tell you tomorrow may never come, but remember, everything in moderation, including moderation! (Ok, its a good thing to pull out all the stops every once in awhile...) You asked mea few months ago in the chat room if I would jump with you when I come out to Sebastian, and I plan to hold you to it! Shawn _________________

    Hanggliding

I started hang gliding in 1993, and am a Hang 4 rated pilot. I like to say that skydiving is an adreneline mainline rush, while hang gliding is more like an adreneline IV drip. I now alternate weekends, one skydiving, the other hang gliding. Be aware though that it is a VERY equipment intensive sport, you need a garage for a 17 foot long glider, special racks for your car, etc. But it is the purest form of sustained flight that you can experience! Good Luck! Shawn _________________

  15. Shore dive or boat dive? If going in off the shore, make sure you have an easily identifiable landmark to get you back to your exit point. Compass navigation is the norm, but don't try to cover as much ground as you would on a day dive. If exiting off a boat, we recommended turning the flashlight on before entering, makes it much easier to find if dropped going out the gate! A backup light was required. We required the cylume be attached to the snorkel. Reason being if you are on the surface at night, trying to get the boats attention, a cylume attached on the tank is invisible to the safety diver on the boat. Have fun! _________________

  17. Hey Jeff, Good to hear that this will be a temporary thing, don't do what I did and take a 10 year break, I'm not sure you have that many good years left in you! Cya this Saturday, my friend. Shawn _________________
  18. Try wearing an 1/8th" full suit. That ought to hold the little buggers for awhile. Or they might just go right for your throat. Good luck! _________________
  19. Wait a minute, a couple of days ago you were whining "gottabuy a house! gotta sell my gear!" NOW you're down there jumping with THOSE guys? The whole thing was just a ruse so we would'nt miss you at Lodi was'nt it? Brat...
  20. Dammit, I did'nt chase your ass around the sky twice last weekend for you to quit on me now! If you have to take a break for something this important, thats cool, but like Wendy said, keep your gear. (ok, sell that suit!) You can always sell any time if absolutley necessary, and when you are ready to come back it will one less excuse to keep you from jumping! I better see you guys at Lodi, you don't need to be jumping to keep the friends you've made out there! Shawn _________________

  23. QuoteSo what is your best story from the 2004 American Boogie? Meeting Geno, "The Human Alcohol Sponge" on Friday night and witnessing the gruesome hangover he was sporting the next day. And meeting TallGuy as well, he is easy to pick out of a crowd! Maybe I will try this free flying stuff... On Sunday, launching an eight way piece off the tailgate, our front three went just a step too far and fell off the ramp. They dangled out there for a couple of seconds hanging on their grips until everyone figured out what had happened and we all went out the back and still pulled of the piece perfectly! Gotta love tailgates! An awesome 4 point 22 way, vertical transition 16 ways, an awesome weekend with some awesome jumpers! Thanks all! _________________
