Actually, there are people there - but they are baseball fans. Most at Wrigley are just part of the mindless yuppie herd (that usually spout off something about Harry) that feel the need to be part of the crowd and do whats cool. Anytime I've been to Wrigley I've asked those around me a dozen questions about baseball and never once has anyone known. I won't sit in the bleachers there because I was sick of having drunk idiots that were there only to get a tan and to have overpriced bad beer dumped on me.....I couldn't watch the game anymore so I left. As are the other minor leage suburban teams. Now that is baseball! BTW - nice to see that Chip has carried on the tradition of terrible baseball announcing. Interesting tid bit for you. The new Comiskey was actually built illegally. The last night the Illinois general assembly could approve the funding for the new park, it was getting close to the 'legal' ending time. Someone had the insight to unplug the clock until the debate was over. When all the paperwork needed the timestamp, they plugged the clock back in showing the correct date that the vote was approved. In actuality, the vote happened many hours past the timestamp. Huh - will have to ask...I work with one of the sons of the owners of the sox. Kinda funny though...very typical of Illinois politics. hehehe I installed Quake 3 on every computer in my HS, just because they said we didn't have internet access and couldn't do anything. I ran it through the network and gave everyone access. They weren't happy. Didn't get expelled, but had to show them where they had screwed up and then they made the mistake of letting me design the school webpage. These days there really isn't a point. The large influx of virii is the result of several online groups attacking each other (if you look inside the virus code you will immature personal attacks in the messages). Or, it is a "political" statement against Microsoft. You really need to experience this group of individuals to see how sad and small their life really is. I worked with a kid that taught himself Unix over a weekend and a month later hacked his first major attack. I'm hoping that movie doesn't look like "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen"....which, was kinda entertaining...but.........IT SUCKED!!! Van Helsing - read the reviews on aintitcool - looking to be worse than the Mummy Returns. The camera work looks amazing...but from what I have see so far, it looks just like another LXG. Day After Tomorrow - another end of the world movie from the same guys that brought you ID4. Yawn...I could just watch 10.5 Harry Potter will be the biggest picture of the summer next to Spiderman...but I am sure there will be a sleeper (Blade 3?). I don't think that Will Smith has the draw he used to, and the target audience has no idea how classic that story is. As far as next Spiderman villians, I would love to see Sandman. However, if you look at the way Raimi is approaching the movies - he is trying to find a very logical and real world feel to these movies...this way Spiderman really does feel like anybody...after all, he was the original average joe superhero (according the Mr Lee). Therefore they will never go with a Sandman, Venom, Carnage. However, they do have the character that becomes the Lizzard in this movie....hmmmm. Sinister Six anyone? Jeff - as a comic book geek, thos matchups were usually done as a draw to sell more books. However, the matchup of Batman/Superman in Dark Knight returns is still one of the better stories out there....and yes, Batman won since he didn't play fair. The movie I am looking forward to getting made at the same time scared of it getting made is "Watchmen." There is no way it could have the entire story in just one movie. (I just realized I lost my 1st edition copy of the novel when my basement flooded last year). I look at how bad they butchered Road to Perdition (yes, that was a comic book) and it only worries me what they will do with the graphic comic novel. Well I don't know where Chasing lives. Here in Houston SBC is all we got. Telling them or the Electric company to "shove it I'll use someone else" isn't an option they are the 800lb gorillas. They normally do as they wish... I wish there was an alternitive to SBC for phone service. There is for internet. Just not offered in my condos complex. Comcast has cable broadband in my area, and AT$T has voice in my area...so I could have options. Honestly - I would just cancel the voice and get the cable modem.
