  1. Yes! Kitchen Hammer! I have one of those too! ~skysprite
  2. I grabbed a mousepad in Eloy during the '05/'06 boogie and put it on my gear bag to put away after I finished packing. Went to put it away and found that someone had swiped it! Bastards! ~skysprite
  3. Assuming this was my birthday and not my sister's, this was 1988. http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?do=post_attachment;postatt_id=37255; ~skysprite
  4. You did the right thing for Ani, though I know that doesn't make it hurt any less. I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. ~skysprite
  5. I'm so sorry to hear about your Uncle. I lost the younger of my older brothers to suicide, then a couple years later my oldest brother to cancer. I wasn't what you would call close with either, but it still hit pretty hard. I often wish circumstances were different and I could have been close with both of them. I'm not sure if that's the part that hurts more, or the fact that they're not here anymore. My parents have always had a rocky history with each of their families, so as their daughter and by extention, I have too. Because I have very little extended family in my life, I know the value of those relations (even if they can be a pain in the butt sometimes, as family sometimes is). I apologize if this post hasn't been the most uplifting, but the point is really enjoy the time left with your Uncle. You're very lucky to have him in your life, and while it will hurt when he leaves, you're a better person for knowing, loving, and being loved by him. ~skysprite
  6. Went to Walmart the other day. Tons of people outside, and while I wasn't necessarily in a hurry I was walking pretty fast cause I did want to go in, do my business, and get out. Out of the corner of my eye I see this young girl heading in my direction just as fast. So we don't collide, I speed up and change direction slightly. She changes too and makes a beeline for me, and finally shouts "excuse me!" Hmmm. I stop, and she hands me this flyer and says they're having a no cover concert this week. Umm, okay cool, thanks. BTW, if the world were to end, are you confident you would end up in heaven? Uhh, yeah. Are you sure? Yup. How do you KNOW?? I'm so there, no problem! Okay cause we're living at the end of days! Gotcha, thanks so much! So anyway, should I try out my new goth ensemble at THIS concert?? ~skysprite

Wow, crazy! They do kinda look alike! But this pic was taken this past May on the third floor SUB patio at the University of New Mexico. Am Stud would be American Studies. And the guy pictured is definitely named Josh. haha Send your son the pic and see what he thinks of his twin!
  8. Happy Birthday, and have fun! ~skysprite
  9. It always throws me off to be reading a thread and then see that I already replied. THEN I check the date. btw thanks for reminding me how much I miss LA, and yes, the warm weather! It's already starting to get cold here. Busted out the extra blankets a few nights ago. Hot tea, a good book, and a mountain of blankets calls methinks... ~skysprite
  10. Beautiful kitten! Being allergic to cats sucks. ~skysprite

I don't have anything recent, so here's me and the other Am Stud kids I graduated with earlier this year. ~skysprite
  13. I've never taken Craigslist very seriously and have always looked at it for a laugh, but people really are able to sell stuff through it. If you can sell stuff AND get a good laugh, even better! ~skysprite
  14. You forgot in complete darkness too!! Duh! ~skysprite
  15. Good point, but I've decided I'm going to have a rediculous amount of fun putting together a gothic look for this. Picked up the corset today! And Bolas you know you're my fashion idol!
  16. Got my ticket today! Yeah, I actually really like Anette's vocals. I've heard mixed reviews from others over Amaranth, but I'm in love with that song! Love the music video too! They're playing in a pretty small venue, so it should be nice and cozy! ~skysprite
  17. Oh, sorry, you were serious weren't you? j/k Frontier's not bad, but it's hardly the pride and joy of Albuquerque. ...But still, good times, good times. And yes, a sweet roll there is a must! Will shoot you a pm in a few Remi. ~skysprite
  18. I'll be seeing Nightwish. Symphonic metal type stuff. Btw I am so not speaking to my boss right now. I came in this morning and told him I was planning on going to the concert, and asked the same question I asked here. Knowing me as he does, he went into this horrible[ly accurate] impression of "preppy-sprite at a rock or metal concert!" I'm insulted! Seriously though... I got weird looks at a Godsmack concert several years back and probably the most weird looks at the Black Sabbath concert earlier this year. (In hindsight, I woulda made fun of me too. I don't know what I was thinking!) I wanna try to blend in for this one! ~skysprite
  19. I've been thinking about it for a couple of months and recently decided that I want to go to this concert in town in November. I had wanted someone to go with me, but can't find anyone who wants to so I'm just going to have to go alone. This band tends to get a big goth following, or so I hear. If I just wear all black and a pained expression, do you think I'll blend in enough? Anyone who knows me knows I'd be more likely to be labeled "virgin sacrifice" than "gothic chick" so I'd much rather dress the part for this one evening at least, everything considered. Is that Hot Topic I hear calling? ~skysprite
  20. So you're coming to dz.com for intellectual stimulation instead?? Love the first comic on your My Space btw.
