    There are two dzs in Alberta that have planes large enough to take you. I do not believe you can get out of a Cessna. At Edmonton skydivers we have a twin Otter. When you called here you said you would do whatever it takes. Our response was that what it would take is for you to lose weight. You said that was not an option. I cannot speak for the other turbine dz but you will not be able to learn here regardless of equipment unless you lose at least 125lbs. We are in the business of fun, and ambulance rides are not fun. Sorry.

    Another factor that dooms DZs is problems with the neighbours. Many dzs have been shut down because the fun jumpers and/or the dzo are insensitive to the community wrt aircraft noise, property damage (real or imagined) and late night parties.

    Well, probably not larger than a 20 guage. A 410 is probably best unless he is big for his age.

    Don't worry about gear yet. You will be jumping their gear for a while. Most IAD based DZs need packers. If you are keen and don't mind hanging around you can probably help pay for your course by packing.

    Pretty funny unless one of the passengers in the plane is dealing with mental illness in the family. They will probably smile just the same and never let you know how you ruined their experience.

    Quite correct John. My ancestors were loyal English subjects at the time. Mike you seem to be confusing Her Majesty with her government for that part of her realm that is the United Kingdom. I am no more British than I am New Zealander. Mr Obama is the president of all Californians, but that doesn't make you a Californian.

    I would think the lack of income tax on home mortgage interest was more significant; that is what made paying off your debts seem like a poor financial choice.

    The first few can be adequately dealt with by a constitutional amendment making English the official language. I think someone needs to get on that one. It will not come from the feds but if enough states pass it the feds might be forced to. Big problems here. I am not sure why you think large corps should be allowed to invest but small businesses or individuals should not. Of course other countries can be expected to reciprocate. Bob's Lobster house in Penobscott Maine cannot open a branch in St. Andrew's NB. A new Walmart of course will be welcome. The land thing will cause a crash as Americans will be forced to sell all their vacation land around the globe. Of course all those foreign corps selling land in the business districts of US cities.

    Not to put any pressure on Price or anything. I suppose the logic was they had to deal one of them and price has no trade value even though they think he still has big upside.

Sometimes the past just needs to be left in the past. Back in 1975 I deliberately ran a red light on Bloor Street in Toronto. I apologize, Andrew. Well, that's a start. Now we need to move forward. RETRIBUTION TIME!

    Come up to Edmonton Skydive Centre. camping is free and well behaved dogs are allowed to run free. Non-well behaved dogs have to answer to the rottweiler bitch who runs the DZ (at least the canine end of things).

    We don't bin our canopies at 1000 jumps. We sell them to dz's where people like you are willing to work.
