So the message here is that Christians should not do business with unbelievers. They are evil and although we aren't allowed to smite them anymore (stupid liberal judges) we certainly must shun them. They are not part of our community. In fact foreigners who are Christian deserve our loyalty far more than Americans who are not. Got it.

So if enough people are offended should they be forced to take it down? Nope. But it should be restricted to private property.

Goodbye Mr. Cain. It was fun while it lasted.

God should just get on with it and give us a sign that he wants Tebow to run. -
Congratulations. BTW, you're proving my point. That was my intention; stop being a knee jerk antagonist.

Those would include the 99%ers who are too interested in buying cheap imported manufactured goods to figure out why they can't find a well-paying job with benefits. The 1%ers figured out how to get rich from selling-out American labor long ago. There's plenty of blame to go around. Haven't seen a "Boycott PD" thread yet. My new reserve was made in Honduras.

The pipeline to Kitimat will be an equally long tough sled to get approval. The natives in the way have been very vocal in their opposition. I don't see that being less than a ten year process that is just getting started now. There is a right-of-way already in place along the existing pipeline route to Vancouver, and I expect that line will be twinned at some point for bitumen. The Kitimat route would keep more money in the north and is proposed by a Canadian firm as opposed to the US company that owns the Edmonton Vancouver line, but I just don't see it in the near or medium term. Kitimat also has water to use for upgrading.

In Canada TB is a reportable infection. This means if an health care professional detects or treats it they must report to the gov. If you don't accept treatment the gov will come to give you the choice of treatment or quarantine.

Training conversion from standard to SOS system?

Thanks John. That isn't emphasized often enough. -
Sugarcane seems to be the best source of biofuel, but we're not allowed to make it from that because the farmers of less efficient sources have more political clout.

Depending on how much content is in the FJC you teach, with a skyhook, in the very unlikely chance a student is being drug on the ground, and they cut away, the RSL will cause the reserve to land in the bag on the ground. The skyhook will take it out of the bag and to full line stretch. So it is possible you might want to say, "if you are needing to cutaway your canopy on the ground, and you can, disconnect the RSL first..." I know this is the only consideration I have when I am jumping a skyhook rig. While I don't disagree with your logic, have you ever seen a student cutaway on the ground due to high winds? I haven't.

What is it about Romney? Is it because he his just too old school GOP power structure? Too moderate? Or is plain old religious bigotry?

Being in favour of shutting down a department does not mean you want to eliminate every program within. For the life of me I have no idea why the department of energy would be in charge of nuclear weapons. That is a defense issue. Civilian nuclear safety would seem to be orphaned though.; maybe put it under homeland security with everything else.

I don't see where any difference in the lesson would be necessary. On the other hand I am absolutely astounded that you would have a discussion as to whether or not to get the skyhooks installed. Why on earth would you not. The number of students, especially first jump students, who have gone in from low cutaways is tragic. I have heard the arguments against skyhook, but no-one who understands cost-benefit in its most basic form would disagree with them for students.

Can the government possibly impose a $0.15 excise tax on anything that costs less than that to administer? I highly doubt it. Never mind that the $0.20/ tree for foreign trees is aimed squarely at producers protected by a free trade treaty that specifically prohibits such unequal treatment and will no doubt trigger trade action that will cost all sides more than the tax will raise. On second thought it may not. for 5 cents who will really give a fuck?

NON Skydivers doing Tandem Demos?
Andrewwhyte replied to Driver1's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Not true. For the second time in two days I've seen tandem videos posted where the video guy pops up and films the opening from above. Am I the only one who remembers this - http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1716520;search_string=tandem%20collision%20jason;#1716520 ? This video was 'Team Fastrax', who claim to be 'professional' and 'the best', meanwhile their video guys are pulling dumb shit like this on high-profile jumps. If you look at the thread, the incident I'm referring to happened right down the road from Start Skydiving, Fastrax's home DZ. It was a miracle the student and camera flyer wasn't killed in the '05 incident, do people really expect another miracle? There are so many other ways to film an opening, why do people insist on repeating mistakes that we know can lead to a fatality. It's just fucking dumb. That was the first thing I noticed as well. Matt, care to chime in here? Do you do a lot of tandems where the cameraflyer videos the opening from above? Are you OK with that? -
BULLSHIT! Trudeau got a blowjob.

Tunnel is without question the best skydiving training tool out there. As a student you have an opportunity to establish the basics of skydiving without developing bad habits that need to be unlearned. This is invaluable. Those of us who teach in areas that do not have access to a tunnel can only dream of having one for our students. We organise trips to Montreal 3500km away to train our novices. So, Yes, I think you should spend as much time in the tunnel as you can afford before you take your AFF. You should try to do some within a week or 2 of your AFF (the day before if you can manage it).
