Thats a two-way street though. Regardless of how ridiculous this whole situation was there is still a rule in place, and if that girl was too stupid to follow a simple rule she deserved to go through the pain of being delayed. Well, the pregnant 17 year-old from Florida may well be too stupid to follow the rules (or even know there are rules), but thinking that a ornament on a bag is not actually a 'replica' any more than a picture of a gun on a t-shirt is would not necessarily be evidence of stupidity.

Canadian plane regs change - TAWS
Andrewwhyte replied to toronto_bill's topic in Safety and Training
From the Canada Gazette Subpart 605 Private turbine-powered aeroplanes and commercial aircraft configured with six or more seats, excluding pilot seats, except when operated DAY Visual Flight Rules, would be required to be equipped with Class B TAWS with EAA functionality. Subpart 703 Aeroplanes configured with six or more seats, excluding pilot seats, except when operated DAY Visual Flight Rules, would be required to be equipped with Class B TAWS with EAA functionality. Subpart 704 Aeroplanes configured with six to nine passenger seats, except when operated DAY Visual Flight Rules, would be required to be equipped with Class B TAWS with EAA functionality. Aeroplanes configured with 10 or more passenger seats, exclusive of pilot seats, except when operated DAY Visual Flight Rules, would be required to be equipped with Class A TAWS with EAA functionality and a terrain awareness and situational display. Subpart 705 Aeroplanes would be required to be equipped with Class A TAWS with EAA functionality and a terrain awareness and situational display. (bold added) I do not believe 705 applies to skydiving operation, but am not sure. Other than that it just limits night jumping to Cessnas. -
A couple of questions occur to me. H113 Is this a change in existing laws requiring provision of right of way to ALL traffic (not just motorcycles) or is it just a restating in order to highlight the problems that occur wrt motorcycles? H427 Does the felony have to be independent of the evasive speeding or are they going to apply it to all excessive speeding cases. i.e. if you run that is the felony?

British flag flying in Britain is offensive

Stories like that can be found in Quebec vis á vis the Canadian flag several times a year. -
I think Skydive Namibia uses them. You might drop them a line.

Some Poles built some sort of system so they could jump down a mine shaft using climbing ropes. AWESOME!

Failure to hook up all 4 points on a tandem
Andrewwhyte replied to ocd11's topic in Tandem Skydiving
I agree I really wish the other jumpers would be mindful of the timing with their hand jazz requests. However it is important to remember that they have the best of intentions and that if you let it raise your arousal level you are not doing you or your student any good. If people work it out that doing that to you when you are getting ready they will be left hanging, they will eventually work it out and either stop asking or watch to see when you are ready. -
The Pakistani government has never really be a friend of the USA. Not much of an ally either. Let's be honest: the Taliban was never anything more than a wing of the Pakistani government running their backwoods neighbor. We pay them billions and they shelter the folks attacking US troops. What a pile of utter horseshit! The Taliban and Al Queda have killed more Pakistani's than every western national victim combined. The government in Pakistan doesn't play straight up with the west because it constantly is juggling just to survive.

What is the hardest plane to jump out of for AFF?
Andrewwhyte replied to Amyr's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I am not going to try to teach you technique over the web and over your instructors' heads, but try to think about keeping your upper body attitude constant throughout the exit sequence. Start out with your chest into the wind as much as you can and keep it at that angle throughout. BTW it is a much easier exit than a Navajo. -
Here is one version of it. Here is CNN's version.

Pregnant Woman Miscarries After Being Sprayed With Pepper Spray..

Fuck I am tired of seeing you post that in every goddamn thread. Ban them both so the rest of us can have a conversation. -
So maybe visualise picking the keys up off the table before you go into the kitchen. Make sure you do it from a 'bird's eye' view as well as from your own perspective. Visualise the angles.

Failure to hook up all 4 points on a tandem
Andrewwhyte replied to ocd11's topic in Tandem Skydiving
We have a 206 here, which is usually quite packed... I am with Rob; I only attach the lowers prior to take off in the #1 slot of a narrow body 182. I have several hundred 206 rides with three tandems. I have been in pain on several of them due to cramped conditions, but I have never been unable to hook up the lowers in flight. -
So that your first night jump isn't on a demo.

Don't forget Worchestershire (wooster).

I don't take drugs but I certainly want the law changed, or in Canada's case, the proposed changes to not be implemented. Here is a good example of the stupidity of the law. Sending this guy to penitentiary is going to cost a lot of money and stands exactly zero chance of having a better man emerge than is going in. He has lost his career and will come out with no options. Quite likely he will still be addicted.

I doubt his skill will improve. He has an amazing ability to conduct the game, that je ne sais quoi that some QBs have and others never aquire. Montana had it, so did Flutie. The difference was Flutie was too short to stand in the pocket. Cullpepper never did despite his skills. Tebow's problem is he hasn't got the arm to stand in the pocket. Come to think of it it isn't much better on the roll out. All the running talent in the world will not make you a superbowl QB. Sure he can win when his defense won't let the other team score, but a 44% passing record just isn't going to cut it in the long run.

I think the European Commission is.

Hmmm, from where did we ever get our English system of measurements? Still doesn't explain your diminutive gallons.

Kind of reminds me of Culpepper. Has some of the tools, not that important one of being able to throw. Denver's defense one the game last night, as they did against Miami.

The new Prime Minister, Mario Monti, was appointed senator for life last Thursday and almost immediately tapped for the PM job. He now has filled his cabinet with unelected members of the financial establishment. Who is this guy? Well he was born in Italy, but his family moved to Argentina right after the war (we all saw that movie right?). He did his Grad work at Yale (do they allow foreigners in the Skull and Bones society?), is the European Chairman of the Trilateral Commission, and a leading member of the Bilderburg group. Get your tin foil hats folks I hear he's promising to make the trains run on time.
