I am not aware of any, as I am not a doctor or a scientist. However small changes in parent's body chemistry have caused severe problems in the offspring in many instances. Usually we are talking about environmental factors, but deliberately changing the hormone balance of one's body is certainly venturing into the unknown when it comes to reproductive health. Does trans-gendering hormone treatment have any effect on the DNA? I don't know, and I am not sure anyone else does either.

Can someone care to explain this to me...???
Andrewwhyte replied to novacaine's topic in The Bonfire
Wow you have been unemployed for over 3 weeks now. No wonder you are getting crazy. You are in Calgary. The job market there is so crazy that no one has any loyalty to their employers and the employers know it. The truth is that if you have a job you are in a much better position to go and find the one you really want. Finding people that will stay at the job is a huge concern in Alberta these days. I completely understand the employer not wanting to spend the resources needed to bring you on line if he doesn't think you will stay. -
I am concerned about the prenatal development of the child given the previous (and hopefully not concurrent) hormone therapy of the mother.

Actually the guy has a legitimate beef. You pay a lot more than the rest of us for 1st class and the understanding is that you are treated better at every instance.

There are advantages and disadvantages to having a larger currency ather than a smaller one. Even within Canada this is true. The resource based western provinces are booming, their big concern is inflation while the manufacturing, export to US based east is clearly in recession and needs a lower interest rate to ease upward pressure on the dollar. Adding Canada to the already very complex and differentiated US economy would make the FED's job even harder. That would still be the easy part of the trick as Canada' and US's economies are practically identical when compared to a place like Mexico. The advantage is that for it to work the system must be set up to resist political pressure. The larger the unit the more independent of the pols the system will be. In Europe the pols wreaked havoc with the currencies for years, but now the Euro is a very well managed, stable currency. It may be a good idea in the long run, but I don't think there is the political capital available in Canada, the US, or Mexico. Americans tend to be not very internationalist in their attitudes (much like the British who stayed out of the Euro-zone), and Their is too much suspicion of US imperialism in Canada or Mexico.

Do think a jump pilot has a reason to be angry when this happens?

If the TM did pull the drogue before exit he should lose his rating. However I don't think he did; I think he snagged it. I agree with Rob, the sitting exit needs to be done from an aft facing position. The trouble he was having getting around the corner is just not acceptable. I am glad they got out of that one unscathed. -
Study: 'Magic mushrooms' have long-lasting benefits
Andrewwhyte replied to Butters's topic in Speakers Corner
Interesting that people have 'spiritual' experiences when their brain is malfunctioning. The last time I used recreational drugs it was a healthy dose of mushrooms. I felt the effects for about six months. That really convinced me that I was too old for that foolishness any more. -
And you posted this here because,...?

Good god. The gear industry has gone insane!

Do the FARs not have requirements for either citizens or residents? -
That ought to be a non-starter. Just as a fully private system as in the US is not an option for us up north, a full swing the other way is not the answer either. Note for clarity: There is no such thing as a single-payer, Canadian style, private delivery,....system.

I just want you to know that he is a left winger whose grandfather was the first socialist premier of a province and is known as the "father of Canadian socialized health care."

Umm, what did you think they were made of? -
You think Soccer is not political? Americans really don't understand the game.

Well see there you have it. He really is a lot like Obama. He has a name that sounds like he might be a Muslim but is really a Christian; a stealth Christian, the worst kind.

Billy, I haven't heard any problems with the Vigil 2. My Vigil 1 is doing fine.
-
I was thinking that a test chamber is worth $25 a pop; that's another $50.00/year. From my experience about 5-10% fail the test chamber before the two years is up so add a bit there. As others have mentioned the Vigil and Argus have lower presumed costs than the Cypres. I say lower because the original twelve year cycle hasn't been completed. We will see.

I think there is a big difference between saying America had it coming and saying Americans had no reason to be surprised.

Actually, using the book of revelations to determine your voting choice is what makes you ignorant and wrong.

Obama is over 40, so it's all good.
