I actually figured they were only going to tease us, then at the very end do a short segement. Thank you TiVo!! I thought it was a brief but generally positive segement. It was also nice to see the Pres. of the Camber of Commerce on the clip. Good job guys!!

A few seasons ago North Face had an excellent backpack that was a top loading cinch close that has shoulder strap padding, a few side compartment, and caribeaner clips. and NO FRAME. I forgot the name of it.

I dont think that keeping BASE 'secret' would have been a wise idea, even if possible. If a few cali jumpers didn't tell and share their amazing jumps of yester years, it wouldn't have spread. It wouldnt have progressed past a certain point. The technology side of things would still be twenty years or so behind. And maybe this is being selfish, but I would NOT be part of it, and I happen to enjoy it.

yes, i know. Lodi is my closest option (and my 1st choice), but I do like to visit places where my friends go to jump that have the USPA policies. I'm just saying I wish I could get the USPA membership sans Parachutist. (with a slight discount of course.) I actually LIKE and dislike the fact that the USPA has a seemingly 'no BASE' policy. I still dont like the mag that much. I loathe most of the letters actually.

I actually wish I could drop the subscription to parachutist and save a tree or two. however I do occasionally make a skydive that requires the damn membership card. such crap.

orange t shirts dont exactly fit in with the wilderness, unless of course u are hunting. camo, maybe a little agressive, but a nice forrest green t shirt with just the right amount of protest speach on it, can aid in avoiding detainment. this event, should it happen, should NOT occur on a holiday weekend, ie labor day. I believe they up the ranger patrol on those high traffic weekends. plus it might cause a traffic accident.

Willing to get busted? is this manditory, if one were to escape the grasp of a ranger or two, does one need to turn themselves in? As for the lawyer, I will precontribute whatever price is set (to a resonable level) so we have them ready to go.

Mass Protest. You wouldnt really need to jump, just don the rigs at the exit point. Sort of a nonviolent (non jumpin) form of civil unrest. It would bring a certain amount of publicity, but no crimes would be commited. I'll go.

I didnt know that square parachutes TEND to turn 180 on opening. I think Ill TEND to pack it backwards, then it will TEND to open the right direction. right? screw it, I'll just buy a round.
