  1. Try going to a place like Korea....exactly opposite night and day from the East Coast.... Takes a good month to get used to it. When I went to Australia it wasnt' that bad going there, but coming back.... whoa..... I couldn't sit down without falling asleep for like two days. that was rough. I think it doens't help that my freinds are still on the east coast either, so when I talk to them, they're like it's so late......
  2. that's not as bad as living on the border of indiana and ohio (I think that's it) where eastern goes central. you can get two stations from the two different time zones... I guess it gives an opportunity to watch temptation island twice!
  3. I think that's "Arizona" time. Same as Mountain or Pacific...No Daylight savings...... yeah I knew they didn't do daylight savings, but vegas, and phx really aren't that far apart, I thought they were in the same time zone.
  4. jet lag sucks, I still can't get used to living on the west coast. (I can't believe I wrote that)
  5. huh, I always thought it was Mountain time. but PHX is mountain time right?
  6. Yep. And it will get more intense as the tunnels emerge in SoCal. Isn't competition grand?! sure is ... why is east coast kicking west coast butt anyway?
  7. vegas is pacific time?
  8. I'm glad to see that most of your eloy pics are you with one woman or the other....
  9. which folks do YOU refer to as the tunnel rats and what would you base that "good job" opinion on? Just curious.... I'm trying to figure out what you base your "average coach" label on... arlo I sense an east coast/west coast thing here.
  10. I'm tired, don't feel like dealling with teh whole TSA/security thing (I was going to fly to Eloy tonight), and I don't know anyone here yet (well, that's not totally true, I met Wlie - he invited me to Kapowsin's christmas party which was very nice!)
  11. I understand the thread.... doesn't mean I have to like it.... Seth, I miss you -- blue skies buddy
  12. that's for sure, there are more security agents than ever before. the uniforms are pretty spiffy, but in the end I don't think we are any safer than 9/10/01
  13. I took it to mean that the individual at Dulles didn't have a clue and they (Delta) were admitting that. I eagerly await the response of your reply to her. and I've decided not to fly to eloy this evening to jump tomorrow cause I don't want to deal with it.
  14. yeah but chess is (was?) in the Olympics. of course ballroom dancing was (is?), too. so technically they would be considered a sport right? (as are a few other "sports").
  15. I don't know, it appears from Delta's letter they were admitting a misunderstanding about the Cypres?
  16. dont' hold back now, how do you really feel....
  17. anyone, anyone, beuller. anyone.....
  18. I really hate the idea of it too, because I can't stand people that are only interested in someone for their money. How the heck that makes you more valuable as a person I'll never know. But, that's what they want... Hey Jess, don't worry, there's a new Bachlorette coming on, so she can pick the guys now....
  19. thanks, I actually may have some $$ sitting out there, but I know for a fact there are more than one of me running around (well in name anyway) -- on even went through AFF at cross keys.... go figure. I wonder if he still jumps there.

    Up in smoke!

I wrote that so you could reply....

    Up in smoke!

Sorry to read this. Please allow plenty of time for all the ambers to go out before cleaning out the fireplace. When we lived in New England, we usually waited several weeks before we shoveled out the ash to clean the fireplace. that stinks for your neighbor, that's for sure, I feel bad for them... but OTOH, we couldn't wait for weeks to clean the chimney. I lived in a 200 year old house and we heated completely with wood (40 cords per winter -- it got cold in the adirondacks). but they didn't design the chimney correctly so we'd (me) would have to clean it every three weeks or so. There I'd go up to the metal roof in the middle of january with the whole house telling me to hurry up cause it was 40 in the house. Sometimes I'd just start a chimney fire and dispense with the roof climbing. I do not miss those days....
  23. hmmm, she has been putting nice big burly zippers on the last few years, well the competition suits anyway, I haven't noticed the others.
  24. I mean AFTER they start screening ALL checked luggage. I guess they can still have curbside check in but I personally would rather have it screened in front of me in case they need to open it. That way it can stay locked when it is out of my sight. oh right got ya, last time I flew I was running late (SOP), so I thought curb side! no line! well, I had a one way ticket bought two days prior, so all my checked luggage was hand searched (had a rig with me too), they took everything out, and one guy actually packed in back better than I had it. the other guy wasn't so good, but I couldn't help or else they would start all over again.
