Bev -- solid construction, good bootie design, grippers that you can really get a hold of, correct use of the right zipper for the job -- "FX mods". good delivery and excellent after sales customer support. She is a very active skydiver, too, if that helps at all.

check out the search feature "search posts" you'll find a ton of information on camps... short story. do it.

where are you planning on your student progression?
-
stand on the arm of your (a) couch.... we used to tell kids that when they were learing to snowbard. youcould also by a vew-do board, or you could get some canopy coacing, too with that $$

I miss in and out to, but it has nothing to do with burgers.... did I just say that out loud?
-
I typically hand it to a packer, that's how I get it closed....

IF there are only 42 jumps on the main, the lines should stil be really white, and the fabric should still be very slippery, and you should be able to easily read the warning panel on the tail.

What are the Dangers of underloading a HP Canopy?
weid14 replied to Viking's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
nothing really, except that it's built for well, high performance, if you load it lightly, it won't be quite as fast as a heavier loading. Kind of like driving a really hot car in rush hour traffic -
and it is a hoot to see the panic stricken faces of all the locals in and around dc/baltimore who think 1" of snow is a blizzard.....

Use anti-fog agents. The litle anti-fog bottle that came with my bonehead boomerang makes wonders, do you know if they sell it individually? there are various anti-fog spray on/wipe on things for skiing, check out a ski store near you, it's a simialr phenomenon. I wonder if a double pane visor would work (like ski goggles, they don't fog up near as much because the two layers are ventilated)

all the advertised, and some not so advertised camps are good, check them all out before you decide... www.delandmajik.com www.skyleague.com www.tunnelcamp.com plus if they don't fit into your time slot the coaches in and around skyventure are quite plentyful. Make an informed decsion based on flight time, instructor ratio, and cost... and above all else have fun in there! (plus wear kneepads if you're new at it)

Then it would be to hot in the summer. Come on now, you're right by Rhode Island, you don't get that much snow every year. Skygal is further north, and I don't see her complaining....

I think it was both the Soviets, and the Brits that were tossing people out of planes --- with no parachute. There are links around somewhere to the exact story. The soviets into really deep snow, and the brits into water I believe.

Nope, I'm an angel! time to go put my greenie powers to good use and delete some of my old posts![/repl to late ms. thong. the thought of your new panties makes me smile also!!!! OK, now you're starting to scare me (and maybe her a bit). I can't blame you for your choice, but simmer down there slim....

Yeah, I went to the seahawks game two weeks ago against the rams, we were three rows up from the end zone, the view of the cheerleaders was spectacular!

because there are a bunch of butt heads out there. IN the end truth wins, it always does, it's getting there that can be bumpy. Someone isn't honest with me, and it's hasta lavista I'm through with them. Sometimes it may seem that you have to resort to their level, but then remember in the end one has to look at oneself in the mirror and decide if they actually like who they are..... I couldn't be a lying cheat and do that.
-
wow, that is huge, I once worked with a woman who had a similar shape, she had a name for it called her butt "thud" I always laughed at that.

if you are learning, and want them later, might as well learn from the beginning. You have to make up your own mind though as to whether you need them or not, I personally would get them, but then again, I like to turn points in 4 and 8 way.

pros: faster, crisper turns and stops, added drag to slow you down a bit, much more leg power in your skydiving. cons: cost, added drag could slow you down to much, if they are not designed/measured correctly they can be less effective. they can be a pain to walk around with. if you are not used to booties they will surprise you at first and do take a little getting used to. You don't want a bootie (booster -- whatever), that collapses against your leg in the air stream, it becomes ineffective. you want it to be a "sail" to catch air. best designs I've seen: Bev (FX mods), and Merlin (long delivery times) (her suits don't reinforce at the knee though, where the stiffener attaches, and can come apart there -- and do BTW), Tony makes a decent suit (hit and miss with measurements though), some people swear by Michigan also (I have not had much experience with them). Whatever you do make sure you don't have one of those wussy zippers on the front and get cordora in all the high wear points. front material to help your fall rate (nylon to supplex).. I would not recommend getting "puffy arms" get spandex forearms and if you need to slow down for a big way or something, get slip ons or chuck a tee-shirt on over your jumpsuit.

there is a right way and a wrong way to stow a Mirage reserve handle... make sure it is correct. my teammate snagged mine once and made it floating, I have switched to a soft handle to avoid that issue.

Serious question here, are there actual tax benefits to getting married? Sure there are deductions for having children, but I thought that married folk actually got screwed on taxes, at least two income families. - Jim that is true, it used to be a marriage penalty. I believe the current regeim is trying to change that however.

especially who the hotties are

Oh man....done that one...get off work....it's around midnight. I'm tired and do the "Hours" conversion backwards. "Oh it's still pretty early there." Dial the phone and hear no end of cussing on the other end.... Whoops...... been there, got hung up on
