DAV does use telemarketing to raise funds. How much money recieved by Disabled Veterans that come from tax dollars I do not know, but i do know that some of the money recived comes from DAV. How much? Your guess is as good as mine. I never looked at their books or operating costs. The PBL/PBA also solicits via telemarketing too. As far as disabled vets not being cared for, I would say Lee anf Freak are both right. Politicians use it as a catch phrase and then do nothing but the American people do care. If the American people did not care the politicians would never say anything. Although I cannot think of the last time anyone used helping vets as their platform.

I tried the web boards and nothing there helps. Phree, it is jerky during capture and during playback. And it does it now matter whether the camera is hooked up or not. I think there is a hardware/software compatability issue with either SB live! 5.1 or with nVidia GeForce 4. And I cannot find any newer drivers than the ones I have from 2002. I gotta agree here. It is a shame that someone with 1300 jumps considers jumping with someone who has less than 100 as babysitting them. That was a missed oportunity to give back to those who helped you out over the years. This is certainly not the attitude I hope to have at 1300 jumps. If I do, someone slap me silly.

Maybe I am wrong here, but haven't you ever done something to a friend and realized later you were wrong? You say she apologized. A friend would accept that apology. That seems like little reason to leave a dropzone you love. Maybe I am miunderstanding, and I can accept that if I am. But we are always gonna do something at some point that rubs our friends wrong. The test of friendship is, will a simple "I am sorry" be enough? Now if there are other reasons you are not saying then that's cool. And if there is more to it that you are not saying, fine, but it just seems that that is not a good reason, especially after an apology was made, to leave your home DZ.
