So no source. I see your assertions are as reliable as always. and another thread completely devolved. NEXT! -- Rob

Unless he gets in a pinch, then it's, "Gubbment, help me." and why not? he's paying taxes to that government right now isn't he? -- Rob
-
So you want to be an isolationist country? plant whatever words you like, but it sounds like he wants to live in a piece of land where he can provide for his family from the land. It's referred to by some as "self sufficiency". -- Rob
-
You're endorsing Beck? Seriously? And are you assuming I'm a fan of his? (you're wrong again) You know what Benny Hill said happens when you assume right? -- Rob
-
so are we supposed to look at the graphs of the last 100 years or the last thousand years. Because whenever the AGW opponents post graphs, it's "too narrow a time scope" so I have to ask for definitions from your lot. What's not to narrow? One that shows a warming trend? -- Rob

Obama upset about the oil spill "blame game"... Seriously?
rhaig replied to ridestrong's topic in Speakers Corner
it's long past time to stop playing the blame game, or even pointing fingers at people claiming they're playing the blame game. too much bitchin' going on. (yeah.. I'm bitchin' about the bitchin!) -- Rob -
wasn't that a good read? My aunt suggested it to me. My uncle read it as prep for his summer in Antarctica. -- Rob

that sounds awfully attacking the poster, not the post. who watches the watchmen? -- Rob

are those the same unbiased scientists that fudge data by adding a couple of degrees here and there? Or the ones that argue that so many of they agree, that it must be right? -- Rob

A statement that everyone SHOULD agree with . . .

ah... the google-fu is strong with this one... (we need an eyeroll smiley) -- Rob -
Better watch out, Belgian will be here to correct your grammar. Oh wait, he only does it to non-Republicans, my bad. So because you couldn't find anything here to argue, you attack word usage. What are you, twelve? he's still smarting over (rightly) being called out for grammar nazi-ing a "making fun of grammar mistakes" thread. -- Rob

Why does Mexico encourage immigration into the US?
rhaig replied to turtlespeed's topic in Speakers Corner
And illegals also pay a huge sum in taxes. Huge sum? Doubtful. I just defined "huge sum" the way the previous poster did. It's all relative. hey... look at my bank book... $15K is a huge sum next to it. (I almost went the penis comparison route "compated my my wee little winky..." as it might have gotten a better laugh, but we seem to be so worried about hurting people's feelings around here.) -- Rob -
Pellosi: Why Work - Everyone else will pay for it for you . . .
rhaig replied to turtlespeed's topic in Speakers Corner
Step from behind the ivy wall and spend time in the for profit work world and you'll gain enough life experience to formulate a more varied response bank. Try reading what I wrote, more carefully, instead of throwing insults. Should have thought of that BEFORE the 'comprehension problem' jab, shouldn't you? My original comment was quite clear. Not my fault if he didn't read it. Do you guys have a Hit "Reply To" Before Reading club going? I didn't read that. -- Rob -
hey... I was having fun in this thread. until you came in and shat upon it all. killjoy as usual. -- Rob

I said you see things simply. You read a lot into that. You seem to know that the Libertarian dogma was oh so long ago. If only it were that simple for the rest of us. -- Rob
-
I like watching people use it badly. as in "this blanket is inflammable. you can use it to put out a fire." -- Rob

one of my favorites is "inflamable" -- Rob

ah... I see you're having the old comprehension problem again... -
if only everything could really be as simple as you see it. -- Rob

The private sector had from 1868 (14th Amendment) to end its racism and showed itself totally incapable of doing so (especially in the south). Instead it gave us segregated restaurants, Jim Crow, etc. Clearly the free market failed to address the issue, contrary to Libertarian dogma. That's 96 years of private sector racism until the Civil Rights Act of 1964! Just how long did the Paul and the Libertarians think the private sector should be allowed to procrastinate before the government stepped in? gee... let me step in my time machine and go back to 1964 and ask. -- Rob

I thought this was a thread about bitching about spelling/grammer and making a spelling/grammer mistake in the post. It's not? -- Rob
-
So....which excuse are you going to rely on for the missuse of the word "their"? irregardless of that, why did you misspell misuse? -- Rob

why is it ok for you to say something like this, but when i say it i get a warning for a pa? moderation isn't an easy job. Hard jobs are quite often not done consistently. That makes them even harder. -- Rob -

well thank you for your interpretation. But I still don't see the transcript. Or the whole video. -- Rob -
That statement will always be true. -- Rob
