Your attitude as displayed shows me that you don't care about the integrity of the country. "People want to leave? fuck it, don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out" -- that's what I heard in your post. You shouldn't be upset with the people who want to leave, you should be disappointed that they would rather leave than try to fix the problem. Perhaps you think they are the problem and you can get along without them. "petulance and foolishness" were your words I believe? I'd hope that you'd care enough about our nation to want to fix the problems causing them to leave. I'm not talking about who is in office. I'm talking about the erosion of our liberties over the past 20 or so years and the complete and total disregard for the contents of the constitution. ah... you got my point (or at least part of it) while I was posting. -- Rob

we need to get together and get along. Do you remember the spike in gas prices after Katrina? The above listed states contain much of the countries oil refining capacity. you wish them well... I wish we would all pull together and remind our elected officials of the contents of the document they took an oath to uphold. INCLUDING the individuals that filed the above mentioned petitions. -- Rob

looks like Louisiana is the first in line. http://www.wnd.com/2012/11/louisiana-residents-petition-to-secede/ If they hit 25000 I wonder if they'll get a response. several more people from other states have similar petitions posted. (TX, AL, NC, FL, KY, GA, MS, IN, MT) https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petitions -- Rob
  5. you're making assumptions without backing them up. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celebratory_gunfire lists 6 people killed by celebratory gunfire in the US (including PR) since December 1859. 6 Celebratory gunfire is such a problem for you, go where more people are killed and start a cause. Looks like Pakistan or Saudi Arabia are your best bets. OR, stay here, and start a campaign to educate people about safe firearms use. -- Rob
  6. Were it not for the guns fired in the air, the power line would not have fallen, and those 23 people would still be alive and basking in the happy glow of a beautiful wedding and marriage. The gunfire was the direct and initiating cause of the event that led to the deaths. that's right. a few irresponsible gun nuts fired guns in the air at a wedding (which has been outlawed there). Celebratory gunfire at weddings clearly isn't safe. Get your ass on a plane and peddle your cause over there. When was the last time someone in the US was killed by celebratory gunfire? wait... do you work in the white house? This sounds like "never let a tragedy go to waste". -- Rob
  7. If you used "I know you are but what am I?" in high school, well, that explains a lot. :) -- Rob
  8. Taxing hurts the low income law abiding. Why does CarpeDiem3 hate poor people? It's ok to make people pay taxes in order to exercise their right to keep and bear arms but not ok to make them pay taxes to exercise their right to vote? Why do the gun grabbers hate poor people? Omaba insinuated that certain low cost handguns should be banned. Why does Obama hate poor people? -- Rob
  9. cracked me up. watching an old lady say "let's burn this motherfucker down" was just funny. -- Rob
  10. Because people want to say they voted for the winner, not the best candidate. And so much of our system is set up to exclude anyone besides R or D -- Rob
  11. troll or poor attempt at humor? not sure. -- Rob
  12. Trump is a media whore. But we all knew this. Though I too wonder what this announcement will be. I do like watching the speculation though. http://www.latimes.com "Donald Trump's big reveal: Obama an alien or wears a wig?" Makes for funny news (at least in the short term) -- Rob
  13. work has me going on a little vacation uh... I mean work trip!!! yeah... to Reno that week. So I'm early voting this week. -- Rob
  14. dozens of workers? Out of the millions? No strike at that percentage has ever succeeded. Momentum will build. yup... as those skilled workers at walmart walk out and are replaced by the next schmuck that puts in an application rife with misspellings, the momentum will build. That's it. -- Rob
  15. This forum has rules about trolling. and clearly you'd recognize trolling as your posts often fall in that category whether you intelligently expect them to or not. Those rules are rarely enforced (unless the troller is an established conservative poster.) -- Rob
  16. I'm sure you'll copy & paste me an answer from somewhere, but if $8.90/hr wasn't enough to live on, wouldn't you look for another job? Or a second job? -- Rob
  17. it's nice to not have my evening TV littered with attack ads, but at the same time, being a foregone conclusion is annoying. though at the same time, because of that and the electoral vote, I don't have to worry about "splitting the vote" when I vote L. -- Rob
  18. so many threads today that are useless without pictures. -- Rob
  19. this. across the board cuts. across the board tax increases. where no taxes are paid, across the board cuts in tax credits. -- Rob
  20. a forest with 2 less trees is.... still a forest. And a forest fire starts with only one tree. Usually not a tree actually. Usually some douchebag who is careless with his campsite or decides to start the fire on purpose. Kind of like a manager not running his store right, or a union bussing in protesters from outside of the area. -- Rob

  22. I would suggest a hybrid approach. While cycling through the HAHAWLTLAW supply, it might beneficial from time to time to bring in some professional talent to encourage the HAHAWLTLAW to be slightly more competitive. -- Rob
  23. I agree - Romney was far more smooth with his lies than Obama was with his. best debate analysis ever (omit the names even and it's still the best). you can make me smile in the morning, even before my coffee... maybe I should buy you dinner first next time? -- Rob
  24. while I agree in principal, that brings a whole other set of security problems. -- Rob
  25. It was obvious to me too. And you might have known that had you read the part where I said "so absentee voting shouldn't be allowed either then. because I can send it in before voting day". It's the same situation with respect to voting before all the information is out. Once I send in my absentee vote, I can not rescind that vote no matter how egregious subsequent information could be. In any case. I intend to early vote. -- Rob
