  1. Some people may have given up the drugs when they started skydiving.
  2. Actually I get tired of seeing people get hurt. I think this could be one thing that might make me quit. I know people will still get hurt, but at least I won't have to watch it happen. It just makes me so sad when I see shit happen
  3. Every time I see his name I think of that god awfull drink they serve in Spanish bars
  4. Mallorca isn't a sovereign country... ...it belongs to Germany! Actually only half of it belongs to Germany, the other half belongs to England
  5. I don't mean to nit pick but it is a German record and not a World record. Congrats to all anyway.

  7. Of course, but only after they have finished the washing up
  8. We have a women only forum, why can't we have a men only forum? There are certainly more men on the planet than Italians
  9. German isn't in the top 10 either. Maybe HH should delete the German forum and replace with a Mandarin forum
  10. I trust it entirely! I trust it to give me some very nice pictures
  11. Sat 10:30 am to 15:30 in a coach from Prachuap to Bangkok. then a 2 hour flight to Kuala Lumpur and wait 4 hours for the connecting flight. Then a 13 hour flight from Kuala Lumpur to frankfurt. Then a 2 hour car journey to get home. I'm shattered It was worth it though for all the Herc jumps, plus a few BT 67 jumps, plus a helicopter jump My thoughts are with those who did not make it back home.
  12. Oooohh Nooooooo!!!!! After reading this I noticed that something had deleted all the files on my CD-ROM. Also I noticed the my fridge did not keep my pizza warm any more. Are there any more problems I can expect from this virus?
  13. 1st at my dropzone we always do the drop run into the wind. If freeflyers insist on going 1st we always spot short. This helps in two ways, the first being, we can leave tons of time before the belly fliers go out, secondly, when the freefliers lands of short of the landing zone they might change their mind about going first.
  14. Of course once you have used this nifty little exit seperation calculator you then need to work out a few others things. Like, 1. How far does each skydiver need to track to get the required separation. 2. Knowing the answer to 1. helps you decide the break off altitude. After all you need a certain amount of time to track a certain distance. 3. When the groups get larger the suggested separation may involve someone pulling in place without tracking (if they don't have a video man)
  15. Don't worry, I spoke to soon Slight delay in the proceedings Will probaly have to leave work early to get my jump in.
  16. I am going to try a get a jump in I'll let you know how it went when I get back to work. See ya later
  17. Maybe I don't understand enough about the American legal system but this is the way I think about the problem of negligence etc. Before I skydive I sign a waiver that says I have no grounds to sue, further my family has no grounds to sue. This does not prevent any goverment agencies such as the FAA or the police going after the DZ or the DZO if they have done something criminal. There is a difference between a skydiver trying to get damages for what has happened and court of law prosecuting someone for doing something wrong. As far as I can see, all I am doing by signing the waiver, is losing my right to collect money from the DZ if something goes wrong. Am I correct in my assumptions? If so, then I have no problems signing the wiaver and abiding by what I sign with no exceptions. If a DZ intentionally tries to kill me that is a matter for the authorities and not for my wallet. Nice post from Billvon, enjoyed the read.
  18. What looks dangerous depends on who's looking. I watched a swooper land a saphire 139. He looked a bit low for a 270 but that was probaly because I am used to seeing him on much smaller canopies. When he did a 530° hook I was gob smacked. It looked scary as well. Why did it look scary? Because... a) I have never seen a 530° hook before b) It looked low c) When he started going round for the second time I was wondering if something had broke on the canopy.
  19. Where is the "Other" option? I always vote other
  20. I suppose at least PWing is quite a bit cheaper. Sorry about your knee.
  21. Looking at you profile it's not surprising that you only have 11 jumps. You must spend all your spare time PWing to get your Carpel Tunnel title
