  1. An employee as loyal as you are is worth their weight in roubles.
  2. Not only that but he gets no credit for fixing the Atlantic Hurricane problem.
  3. Keep telling yourself that. Dude, inflation is under control, interest rates are dropping, crime is at serious lows, NATO countries are openly laughing and defensing against another Trump Presidency, crossings at our southern border are down a lot, and you are so panty twisted to where you cannot stand up straight. You have it all wrong. Quit being a willing subject of the wrong world media and catch a wave. Life's good.
  4. But it does make him a vile, deficit increasing, socialist, welfare state promoting weasel who shouldn't be supported in November, right? And I don't think Green Card holders need a work component to a student visa. They already have the right to work and to receive inflationary largesse from the government.
  5. I'll look again but I'm pretty sure Trump was loud about a $2000 payment. I'm also pretty sure I have the SSN/Green Card/Visa info correct.
  6. Hmmm... Green Card holders get an SSN but Student Visa holders don't. So she was a legal resident and entitled to the Trump $2000 stimulus payment.
  7. You broached the payout here so let's call it fair game. Please explain the mechanics of her payment. How was she deemed eligible, etc.
  8. No turnover in the last 8 years in a college town? Well, I hope they graduate soon.
  9. But we did and now we are coming out of it with a stronger economy than our peers. Compared to what other ails face our nation, you know like the continuation of it as a somewhat functioning democracy, I find your fixation on this ridiculous. Sure egg prices are important, housing costs, too. But right now I'd say civil rights and women's rights and not having to wear paper bags over our heads come November 6 are more important. By the way, have you taken the opportunity to raise rents on any of your tenants in the last 8 years?
  10. Indeed I do! They left out the part about the creation of a Special Night Police charged with door bashing in the wee hours to collect pregnant women for abortion quota fulfillment and that all citizens future social security payments will be docked to pay for it all. Otherwise it looks good to me.
  11. Another huge assistance for Brent, as I've previously posited, is that he quit assuming that wearing a green suit and having gone wherever he was sent by the US Army has given him a single iota of international exposure. I tend to hang with a lot of people from a lot of countries. Unlike the trivial, non-confrontational conversations that happen in the US, conversations with international people tend to be open, direct, and sometimes fearless of being offensive. Well except when Trump Americans are nearby.

I get your point that Pearl Harbor changed the opinion of most Americans about the war in Europe but that wrong opinion doesn't mean it wasn't our business. So yes, if being forced off the sidelines is what made it our business, I agree.

Somewhat of a stretch to argue it wasn't our business, too.

I think the point is that, best intentions and good reasons notwithstanding, the usual result of American meddling is the trading of one shit show for another. I can't disagree.
  15. They didn't teach that at the Wartown school of business. I actually just finished reading his thesis: Time delayed Arbitraging the Double Irish AR-15 Carry Trade using Alternative Faxes. Fascinating stuff. I may pull some coin out of my Nigerian Driveway Paving Company to get in.

Losses??? I just got my statement and I'm up another 200% I'm doublin' down, baby, and lettin' it ride!
  17. So as long as 7 Nations and one dispossessed people are willing to concede defeat on the issue one nation, the last to arrive, could have peace. There might be a bit of a wait on that.
  18. Could that have been possible because Egypt and Jordan were States; Nations with armies, economies, currencies and internationally recognized borders?
  19. No one has yet made the claim, best I can tell. Nigel was simply pondering about the ethics of the attack, a legitimate question I think. In my case if I firmly believed that making remote controlled bomblets out of 5000 pagers and handing them to bad guys who were blended into a civilian population for later detonation would be an effective first step to ending Hezbollah once and for all I suppose I'd think it was ethical maiming and that would include any bystanders. But I don't believe that's going to happen any time soon and I do believe it more likely that more terrorists will be the result. Honestly, I really don't know why it seems so smarmy to me to take out enemies by blinding them and blowing off their fingers when arguably that's better treatment than killing them outright, it just does.
  20. Well, if it's any defense, I never claimed I was making a perfectly rational argument.
  21. Are you saying that you wouldn't draw the line anywhere? If not then where would you draw the line?
  22. I was thinking there might be some treaty guidance, CCW Amended Protocol II seems to be the latest, but pretty much as long as your bomb isn't intended for some kids Christmas Stocking it's defensible and even then there are probably workarounds. Apparently if legal equals ethical then intentional maiming is very ethical as long as not too many innocent bystanders are affected.
  23. As the only poster here who, apparently, has actually taken a bite of cat, not eaten because my stomach wasn't helpful, I have to say I'm not surprised it's not on offer at fine restaurants everywhere.
