Phil, she was totally over thinking the problem with the bullet proof vest. The reality is that he was Christian enough to keep the bullet from exiting and hurting others but not Christian enough, apparently, for it to have simply bounced off.

It will, and so will 2026. All of these polls etc. that are giving hope will likely be worth the same as the last ones that gave hope. Why should anyone believe that people who have continually voted against their own interests out of ignorance, selfishness, and a desire to hurt others won't do it again?

There is nothing serious about this at all. Any place that allows it, TI or not, is a mismanaged clusterfuck. Maybe you should go to management and tell them you won't be a customer of a DZ that carelessly degrades the reputation of the sport.

What is it with these videos of someone blathering in lieu of simply posting a reasoned analysis? I ask seriously, is there anyone here who enjoys them? I’m not saying never ever but I am saying that, at least for me, they come off as both lazy and rude.

I did. I'll guess I'm more in agreement with you on some things than other liberals here. That said, I do think your fog lines are a little too close to where the traffic drives sometimes.

The guy who taught me to fly in a C-120 and became a life long friend wanted to fly jumpers 20 years later. Smart guy, Army Captain, time in Nam, ATP, A&P, flew charters for years and so on. No matter, I sent him to the SIM and put him through the training like everyone else. 7 hours of SIM and a 100 jump flights in the left seat later he was turning final with my most senior pilot in the right seat ready to cut him loose when, violating company procedure to look at any power quadrant control you are touching before moving it, he reached over and pull back the condition lever. Before he could move it back and torch the engine my pilot put down his hand blocking him and landed the aircraft. He was a personal friend and as white male as they come but you only get one of those, news he couldn't believe he was hearing from a friend. Based on his history he should have been golden, instead he was just white.

Is it dehumanizing to call a dehumanizing asshole an asshole? In this instance some of we extremist liberal individual rights mongers aren't doing the dehumanizing. We are simply observing that when folks who think occasional assassinations are a part of a healthy society get assassinated, as a direct consequence of their being dehumanizing assholes, it's not evidence of a topsy turvy world.

It's not violent leftists or rightists it's that we are all violent animals who are barely under control on our good days. That nature is easily combined with our other true natures of stupidity, gullibility, tribalism, and irritability. Stir or shake, it doesn't matter, and out comes another homicide.

They understand social media and the undeniable pea brainedness of their audience, that's for sure. Maybe I'm just old fashioned but I'm waiting until the assassin responds to FBI Director Patel's Trump media account postings and turns himself in before drawing political affiliation conclusions.
