Trump posted this Saturday on Truth Social: "They created the Epstein Files, just like they created the FAKE Hillary Clinton/Christopher Steele Dossier that they used on me, and now my so-called 'friends' are playing right into their hands," Trump's post reads in part. "Why didn’t these Radical Left Lunatics release the Epstein Files? If there was ANYTHING in there that could have hurt the MAGA Movement, why didn’t they use it?" Oh, he's in the file alright and it's just another Democrat plot.

So we're fucked. Good to know.

The simple fact that we require our police to wear body cameras in the false hope that knowing they are filming their violations of our civil liberties and rights might get them to take the whole serve and protect thing seriously says it all.
-
I’m definitely not in favor of loose borders but best of luck keeping the less fortunately born from risking everything for a better life. The only possible solution is in forming beneficial alliances with contiguous nations to stem the tide. The idea that we must militarize our police and shred our constitution because it’s out of control is simpleminded. I think the best start is recognizing that our illegal population is maybe 2% and most are contributing to our economy. We should simply hold our noses and call the majority winners while we root out the bad apples. Post that the penalties should be harsh. The impossible part would be negotiating real solutions with Mexico and Canada to control both sides of our borders all the while recognizing that the costs and benefits will not be equally spread and that the problem will never be truly resolved.

We live in an age where an unstable simpleton can do inestimable damage to the world and ruin the lives of billions of people in an instant, or set the world on a path in that direction. All of the reasons from 200 years ago no longer apply. I think the president needs serious checks before taking action on gut instinct.
-
That’s progress of a kind. Given the seemingly endless parade of malign actors in need of the boot, and the potential for significant downside, would you agree that the decision to attack another nation militarily ought not be made by a single elected official? Especially when there is significant disagreement among the official’s own advisors?

You'd think an eruption was coming but I've come to despair how incompetent the left is at politics. You'd think they'd be screaming about Epstein's list from the rooftops and claiming shamelessly that Trump is on it in several places. If the DOJ shows it claim there are redactions. You'd think that they'd be filling the news cycle with Trumps indisputable use of tariffs, at the expense of American citizens, to coerce sovereign nations to bend to his will and ignore their own legal systems--and put Pete Buttigieg on Fox to explain it in simple terms. You'd think they'd have learned by now that whenever they get on TV they must always answer questions with a thank you for the great question and then go off the rails talking about Epstein, Bolsinaro and Bibi, and Melania's anti-Christian nude photographs or anything besides actual policy. But they somehow cannot figure it out and that's why I think we are fucked.

I never walk past money on the ground. Picking it up reminds me of when it made a difference.

I see. Wouldn't it be simpler to ask all domestic copper consumers to just donate money to cure the deficit out of the goodness in their hearts? Not everyone will, sure, but the rest can be made up by no longer making not really copper pennies I'll bet.
-
You’re smart. Could you please explain to me, using simple words and sentences, how we benefit from tariffing copper 50% when we don’t produce nearly enough, it’s critical to the economy and our defense industry, and even if we had giant mounds of ore waiting to be processed we have zero unused refinery or smelter capacity both of which would take multiple years to build new.
-
Why? The manufacturers will just absorb the cost, that's what I heard.
-
Yep, Trumps sort of guy just like Jair Bolsinaro.

Um, no. According to Texas Senator Ted Cruz (R) it's the doings of a good and loving God. https://www.rawstory.com/ted-cruz-blames-god-floods/ Pretty nifty to have a swell fall back like that to explain away your incompetencies, all ready to go for those rare times when the effects of your policies are too awful to pin on Democrats.
-
“if the left allows it to be.” And if we don't, may a loving God help us.

Unfortunately he didn't Taco out when Bibi promised him, like in the movie"Independence Day" ,that he would clear the way so he could play the hero Russel Casse and take down a whole ship full of illegal aliens.

Generally speaking, I don’t favor any US President acting unilaterally, without the consent of congress, to bomb any nation. Without question malign states in pursuit of weapons of mass destruction are a problem. But I see it as a world problem best resolved in conjunction with partners not an American only problem. We can further discuss the efficacy of other Presidents actions and whether or not they were appropriate or necessary or acted on unilaterally. But that was not the issue I stated which was the question of whether or not the bombing set back their program or just made some folks feel better. That and I simply do not trust Trumps motive in the decision.
-
And another against American Democracy on January 6. What you cannot and do not know is what, if any, set back to their program resulted from the attack. The rational view is not much. Now diplomacy is off the table and other malign actors like Russia are saying out loud maybe they should have nuclear weapons. It’s arguable things are now worse.

Any and all of which will get trumped if the hapless Democrats front a black female with a ready giggle against an autocratic narcissist without an iota of competence. Of course, as ever, lemming like Republicans will moo their way to the cliffs edge to avoid not voting for their man. Or vote third party, we do have our choices.

What a chapter it will be when the history of the New Soviet Union is written. I pity the fate of any agents we have buried in the Kremlin who don't have the ability to just up and run for it while the getting is good. I also imagine that anyone who was privy to Trumps co-opting has long since taken a leap out of a high window. Putin simply could not have a better dupe in the White House.

Every now and again the Royalists win.

Jesus Phil, can you reply to only one post at a time?

Oh, so you put holes in the meaty part, and tore the crap out of stuff. That's a bummer. You're alive and seem tough enough for the job, that's good. I've had long, hard PT in front of me before and it sucks no matter what they say on TV. I'm pulling for you.

Proximal Humerus fracture and a Bankart lesion? Did the greater tuberosity split off or is that an artifact? In my opinion you fucked up, but I’m no Doctor. I don’t like seeing the Humeral head in contact with the glenoid but maybe if it’s a Bankart lesion that will correct on repair. Otherwise it’s arthritis sooner than later. No reason full range of motion or close enough isn’t possible.

You're also not likely to see an actual plumber or carpenter anytime soon. Try calling one.

Kelly works for me, might need to kick in for hair extensions but that does attract some voters.
