  1. Parricide by a 4 year old who shot their Mother while she was on a zoom work call. Apparently the kids father didn't secure the gun. It's a terrible tragedy, as always, but at least I know a new word now.
  2. Or team training, or getting instruction. Sometimes 3 rigs are needed for team training because you aren't pulling super high and you want to land with your team mates to talk before the turn. Then also, you just might be jumping smaller mains than you'd otherwise prefer. Same if you've hired a freefly coach. Seems they always are flash canopy pilots, too, so if you are turning loads you need to get down fast to look at video you don't yet understand. On the other hand if you are fun jumping blow off the second rig and spend time with your friends. If time is tight between loads hire a packer. You'll be enough money ahead to tip your DZO at the end of the day.

    covid-19

There are a couple of people who post here, one with the most easy going nature who will never fail to disarm you with charm and the other an ex-military type who is doing an inspiring job of resocializing, who each needed ICU beds that were fortunately available when needed. I can only imagine the "gosh darn it's" and "I'm killing those MF's" were some simpletons who refused vaccination clogging up the ICU.

On the bright side, there is a 40% chance it will be an anti-vaxxer's loved one denied medical services owing to the ICU crunch.
  5. What are the stupid reasons imposed by her culture and family?
  6. Thank you. We now know that in the vax or not to vax debate intelligence alone is not determinative.

Exactly. What will you bet he finds that where religion plays little role in understanding power transmission it plays a big role in other contemplations.

There must be something in the latitude you drink. Of course masks worn as chin bra's and those with vents don't work. That's long been known. Clearly the lack of quality and consistent information that is now your concern, most definitely, should be your concern.

It only makes me wonder how you can be taken seriously on any topic. For example, yes, virus particles are itsy bitsy tiny and can pass through masks all by their lonesome. But they aren't just out there, hanging in the air, waiting for you to walk by. They are in water droplets. Hence the utility of masks. Also, your expert ain't one. Seriously Bill, this was bad.
  10. You're only as good as your last July.
  11. It doesn't. You just need to work on your delivery. We know you don't suffer from delusions. For sure, you enjoy every minute.
  12. Methinks thou dost post-est too much.
  13. Well done, Norseman, in your endless effort to take a counter position you can now add opposition to gun laws to your resume.
  14. Now doesn't that just suck. Here I banned myself for two months, ending today, just to get away from your crap and one month was a damn gimme. Arghhh.....
  15. Well, you've come to the right place for advice. The truth is that it is never too soon to start doubting and second guessing ones skydiving instructors.
  16. We have a right handy way to justify it: somebody has to be willing to pay the full price and a quick check of the Democracies of the World organizational chart reveals that we only got one somebody.
  17. Yes, and the payers are Americans. We could drop down to USD $22.8 Billion as some western democracies do, but then we all might need to start working on our Mandarin.
  18. We don't just suck we're also annoying. Maybe, just maybe if we weren't now condescendingly called foolish, too, it wouldn't seem so much like Ken's talking to someone too dumb to quit smoking.
  19. Us, foolish? Don't presume. Even if we don't at the Federal level we have our Red State Governors.
  20. I don't agree. I think the circumstances and timing merit praise. She is a Valedictorian in Texas. She slipped in nothing. Rather she gave a full throated rebuke of the antiquated thinking of her state, the Governor of Texas, her neighbors and, for all we know, her family, too. She spoke truth to power knowing there might be consequences. The sad reality in America is that a Valedictorian going off script to be god positive or LGBTQ negative is unlikely to cost you an extra cookie much less bad press. I think she'a a hero.
  21. Ken, I think Scalia pretzel twisted the phrase into an individual right as I've previously posted. No matter, my fight isn't with you or skydekker. In truth, there s much we agree on. My fight is with Americans who believe as you guy's do. I need them to understand this goes nowhere with a burn it down and build new strategy.
  22. It's almost as if the point is being willfully missed. No one sane thinks mass shootings are ever a win. The point is that firearms ownership in America will never be eliminated. Consequently, pointing out each and every gun travesty as evidence they must be banned is a pointless exercise. You need to accept that Americans are ten times as many as Canadians and our histories are far from identical. Simply put, it's different here. I personally think the second amendment was never intended to be interpreted as it has been by our courts. In fact, I place responsibility for most of these senseless deaths on our courthouse steps. But that doesn't matter. We have what we have and the best we can hope for, at this point, is incremental change.
  23. Ken, you take it too far. Guns are used in war but so are knives and sticks and stones. Who knows what firearm was used in the assault? It could have been a pistol like cops use for all we know at this point. When I worked in Canada I once gifted someone a nice rifle I bought at the Winnipeg Cabela's. He's a First Nations guy who loves to hunt. Are you in favor of disarming the First Nations people of their tools of war?
  24. I'm an ardent sizzle hoper, for sure. I'm speaking to the head in sanders who think that just because he's wounded he'll shortly die. Maybe he'll bleed out but it's still way too early to take a trophy picture, seems to me. In my religion it ain't meat until it's in the pan.
