Squaw. You sadly don't realize that's an ethnic slur.

I know I have issues, that's certain. And I'm already smiling so you win. -

What pool and whose pee? My understanding is that free shit remains wildly popular amongst just about everyone except the chattering class. -

And stop there, too. Pelosi and others did a work around members of their own party to get something done. That isn't laudable? For certain it in no way equates to the Grim Reaper. Surely I'm missing your actual point. (Oh, and you can relax, I found a firing pin for my BRNO RV85 Launcher. You wouldn't have any 28.5mm armor piercing tear gas rounds laying around, would you?) -

I would posit that numbers 1 and 2 are more applicable to current Republican politicians than Democrats. -

Yep, some bipartisanship would be nice. I guess Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R) of New York gave it a go by voting for the infrastructure bill if only, by her admission, to "own" AOC and make the Squad ineffectual. Slightly less nuanced is the guy at the highway intersection down the street with the giant FUCK BIDEN flag. I'd just like to know what gives anyone hope the Republicans will ever again be honest brokers. We're now one year since Trump lost in a fair election and Republican obstructionists and enablers in the House and Senate still refuse to make statements of truth that might help heal the growing divide in our country. Worse, they see enormous political value in a divided United States. Unbelievably, talk of further insurrection and even civil war is, and for good reason, being taken seriously and that is not because Democrats want it. Sure, the economic and social policies of the Democrats are often ill formed and, for many, downright offensive. However, if you'll just give us enough time we'll fight amongst ourselves until we have no tail feathers so no worries there. The thing is, there is not a Democratic Mitch McConnell or Marjory Greene, not a comprehensive list by dozens, doing their level best to avoid any semblance of bipartisanship. Sometimes step one is identifying what is causing the actual problem. -
Great piece. Thank you. But honestly, I despair anymore of trying to change crazy minds. I also think that until misinformation can be demonitized by regulation, unlikely in a free speech society, for reallsie fact checking on social media is just wishful thinking. Like it or not we are not becoming the mutually respectful heterogeneous society we (well at least me) were hoping was the future. I'm thinking we have an insurmountable communication problem: some of us are reading "Sometimes a Great Notion" and too many others are reading "Never Give an Inch". I am not hopeful.

In an embarrassing snub to Brent Hutchings, and his Progressive Caucus friends, and with a bi-partisan vote the House advanced President Biden's agenda to improve the quality of life for all Americans. So far there has been no comment from Ilhan Omar, AOC, Brent Hutchings, Cori Bush, or Jamaal Brown.

Yep. Wokey Jokey will supplant yesterdays Death Panels and Fauci Ouchies. I can not deny it's a winning strategy with the Republican base. You must be thrilled.

The CDC Definitions of Vaccine and Vaccination since September 1, 2021: Apparently, prior to the over the top, insane resistance to the vaccine and widespread forced study of how vaccines actually work no one previously noticed the imprecision in the description. So they fixed it. Good deal.

'specially ours!

Sure, sure, we all get that but who gives a rats ass about sea change unless you're a climate weirdo, right? And unless Scarlett Johansson is running no one serious cares about the body politic. No, when I'm talking legs I want to know which candidate will give you the oomph to drive this thread to 1000 views and knock BillVon off the top of the likes list. I mean, day'am, he's been topping us all for longer than Adeles new single.

In your expert opinion, whose victory would have more shit stirring potential?

They're aggrandizing themselves at the nations expense. Their names are in every other paragraph in the news. That sticks. They know it.

As I acknowledged, although I didn't play the it's a D only thing.

That's probably too abstract for his pea brain. I think he believes simply owing more money is dangerous; the real danger being that once something becomes a program it stays a program. You know, like those nitwits on the progressive caucus told him. I really don't believe Manchin and Sinema could organize a three person marble game if you showed up and brought the marbles.

He's just being a self important dick who wont be told. The tell here is his advice to Jayapal to not believe holding up infrastructure will sway him. You know, for the good of the country. What a shit show we've become.

Well, good then. It certainly wasn't meant as a high compliment for either of them. 10 months ago, and on live TV, that bastard Trump fomented insurrection against the government of the United States and did so while being the sitting President. Now he is fluffing his feathers prepping for a 2024 run when Garland should be clipping his wings. Time is slipping by, Congressional elections are just around the bend and it's time to do something even if it's wrong. Otherwise just hand the keys to McConnell and get used to the new world order.

Sorry. I meant Mr. Rogers.

I am not demoralized by Biden's performance. I am incredibly frustrated by the stupidity, selfishness and lack of foresight by the so called House Progressive Caucus led by Congresswoman Jayapal and Senators Manchin and Sinema. They could be handing Biden a very successful and effective Presidency. Instead they are kneecapping the Democratic Party and, quite likely, handing the Republicans their hoped for 1000 Year Reich. Now, one area I am happy to agree that Biden screwed the pooch was in appointing Mr. Roberts as Attorney General when who we really need now is Attila the Hun.

You think you're being clever, but you aren't. You think you're being funny, but you aren't. What you are doing, as ever, is projecting. You wore a US Military uniform for twenty years and yet you seem not to care if our democracy or our nations institutions are torn down for the sake of a few silly, small picture observations and hackneyed points. Biden's election broke the chain. That's enough. Now, if you truly care about our country, our job is to make certain Trump is finally swept away into history's dust bin. The reality is that if we end up with Trump 2.0 it will be thanks to people like you.
