Too late, it's now a part of his permanent record. I must say, I sure feel better about a few of my ill considered words of wisdom.

Work??? Fat chance. No board shorts, no flip flops, no bueno.

Sounds good to me. I just watched a youtube video explaining how to tell an earth from a positive. Seems straight forward. When do we start?

You're on. Of course I'll need you to wire the damn thing in so I don't blow my dumb ass up. I learned the other day that I have 19.85 acres of East Side vineyard land. How crazy is that? I bought it a decade ago and let the neighboring farmers use it for nada in the spirit of comity. One less thing, right? I just remembered, I have wind tunnel level electricity wired to the driveway, you know, just in case. That's good, no?

Well, we do tell students it might be a two hour wait and most live within 40 miles. Hmmm...

Terrible the first world rich people problems must resolve. Do you still have your fingers and toes. professor?
-
Yep, and that's why we are screwed. So in the face of things can we now quit pretending we have a reparable democracy?
-
Sorry yo, it's working out great. Think about it.
-
And so that shall come to pass. Too bad so few realize that truth.

No joke Amigos, is anyone still hopeful that rationality still has a chance in our lifetimes? Worldwide the numbers of people who either don't give a shit or are willing subjects for autocracy are not only already too many but are growing rapidly. Seems to me that the time is ripe to sell our recycling containers to the still gullible and accept reality.

I like it! Hillary is totally what we need at this critical juncture. Where can I send a few bucks? My biggest fear now is the country going down the tubes and I'm no longer around to see it. She'll get the job done, for sure.
-
That's hilarious. Thanks.

I'm not want to look at how super billionaires do the lords work on earth as a way to calm my concerns about how they are able to accumulate such disproportionate wealth. Suffice to say what good they do is certainly minimal in context and probably entirely tax deductible at the same time. I'm with you that all anger needs be to directed at policy makers, not the current beneficiaries. Of course that means no change.

All important points worthy of recognition and recital as the miserable bastard is dragged to the hangin' tree. The one thing that would help make the rest of us feel better, cause it ain't jealousy over his money don't you know, would be if stock used to acquire another company was heavily taxed at transfer and something similar to a property tax was levied on stock gains on stock held instead of capital gains tax at stock sale. Losses of course would need to be deductible. Also, we get to use his yacht sometimes.

Had dinner with a lovely couple from Austin, Tx last night. I'm telling you that there is Blue in Texas.

As far as I know they never saw it coming. One less bell to answer. One less tree to cut down....

We're On the Beach now, seems to me. Hoping for an attenuation of any of the offenses against us, much less a saving reversal, is just wishful thinking. Most definitely we should try hard to understand why things are as they are but that will never change the outcome. In a way we're a very lucky bunch: name another civilization that was able, so clearly, to see the end.

Eliminating the National Directors
JoeWeber replied to SStewart's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Jumpers prove every election they don't give a shit. Let's just fade the idea of fragmented representation and hire people for money to do the job. Ed Scott will attest that I've hammered him more than hugged him, and I also think his C182 drop zone agenda is flawed. That aside he is spot on about our having too many elected officials. I wish him success. -

The power to decide someone should not post here defines your limitations. This one is on you, Wendy. -
Eliminating the National Directors

Then why not 20 National Directors? Ed is right that there are too many special interest voices governing USPA. In terms of membership percentages no one votes for them so who needs or wants them? -

8 less opinions and 8 less folks governing in potential conflict of interest. -
I could have raised the specter of in male voting.

If Harris were elected which specific harms do you imagine will be her real agenda that might justify panicked fleeing? Are you concerned we all might be woked to death? Will there be forced, and anonymous, Gay marriage? Will all urinals be replaced by toilet stalls? Will men be forced to wait, regardless of how many guys are in line, the same amount of time to take a leak as women at any public entertainment? Pretty much anything she will hope for but not accomplish as President won't impact the survivability of our democracy. Trump? Not so. I will certainly not sell everything and run for it but I'll damn sure spend less time in the continental US.
