  1. Thanks, I'll add that to top of my list. Child care, SNAP or any other food support, and health care are things that will help raise up the working poor. Just handing out cash, as was done during the pandemic, is both inflationary in the long term and counter productive from day one. Surely tools that will help pull up the working poor from the margins of society or make it possible for single parents to at least nourish and educate the next generation are sensible investments in society.
  2. Putin can stop those, a key point that is obviously beyond your ken. And so you know, although it's not as inflammatory or emotionally charged as "kids", the average age of Russian mobiks according to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu is 35. That would not be in your talking points nor would any images of Ukrainian soldiers who are clearly of all ages and genders. But, of course, they are fighting to keep your masters from killing innocent Ukrainian kids.
  3. Poland is anxious to give their MIG-29's to Ukraine. They have something like 44 with 30 flying. They are planning on replacing them with F-35's. Poland is a long time NATO partner. I see no downside to putting 30 F-16's flown by Americans in Poland to facilitate the transfer. That would be the fastest way to give Ukraine air power, seems to me.
  4. If neighborhood dogs are shitting in peoples yards, pretty much 100% of people would be against it and want it to stop. Also, pretty much 100% of people wouldn't want to pay more tax to solve the problem. In fact, pretty much 100% of people would want the people whose dogs are shitting in yards to pay for the cleanup before they ever get handed a bill. Now, just like Superfund sites, sometimes the perpetrators can not be brought to justice soon enough and the problem is big enough that people are forced to pay for the problem. With Climate Change I think most people do not think we are there yet because the responsible parties are available and have loads of profits from causing the problem to help pay for the solution.
  5. So you’re in favor of taxes to combat climate change? Good on you, mate.
  6. We already provide a basic income to the southern red states, that’s not enough? I am not a fan of it on a state by state level. Better to have national programs like the soon to be evicerated SNAP program. Or maybe a national health plan to relieve financial burdens. Get there and if we still need a dole then maybe.
  7. I know I’m like a broken record but somehow for some reason he needs to get nailed, and soon.
  8. Very artful and honest. I like it.
  9. Trump enabler Peter Navarro has been ordered by a Federal Judge to turn over hundreds of emails. That's good, I suppose. Certainly good, however, is considering Navarro's 2019 attack on the US Postal service against his Kentucky Executive Standard Briefcase on his way to testify. "Remarks of Peter Navarro, Assistant to the President and Director of the Office of Trade and Manufacturing Policy, before the Universal Postal Union Third Extraordinary Congress Geneva, Switzerland September 24, 2019 We are here today because of the leadership of two individuals: My boss President Donald J. Trump and Director General, Ambassador Bishar Hussein. I have no doubt that President Trump will go down as one of the greatest presidents in American history, and one of the many reasons is that he is a common sense president. When he found out the United States is being forced to heavily subsidize the import of small parcels in a way that costs our Postal Service hundreds of millions of dollars a year and costs our economy tens of thousands of jobs, he called me into the Oval Office and simply said “fix it.” So almost a year ago, the United States filed its intention to leave the Universal Postal Union and I have spent the better part of the last eleven months working with a top-level team preparing for a possible seamless exit."
  10. In other news a judge has ruled that Trump's grab 'em by the pussy Access Hollywood tape can be shown to the jury in the Carroll case. Ruh-roh.
  11. Yes, I caught that today. No real consensus on the strength of the case but who cares? Maybe it'll inspire Fani Willis to jump in. It's time.
  12. Oh, it's his D License number I'm guessing. It's an early one to be proud of and actually used to mean something. These days it's how many jumps you have before winning your first World Meet.
  13. There is also a potential terrible cost to not shooting, which is my point. If I'd have waited until every last fact was lined up, every last certainty was in hand, every last doubt was extinguished in my career I'd still be a packer or flying loads for someone else not living on a boat. It's not the best analogy but in my real estate deals and trading aircraft I am positive I have never once sold at the top of the market. But, unlike others, I have never waited too long and lost the chance to profit. Sometimes it's just time to pull the trigger.
  14. Negative. The needn't accept the subject. Anytime you seek to learn a thing, that the thing is a subject is manifest. No, for your purposes they must first accept the proposition as true. All you want to do is finish the job. Try as we all do, you will never see the fallacy of your method. No matter, I forgive you for you know not what you do.
  15. Most frustrating is that we are past two years and two months since Trump absolutely and certainly attempted to overthrow our government by suborning an insurrection that caused the deaths of Americans and we haven't so much as cancelled his paper delivery much less something as basic as bringing him in for a few questions. No, not at all, instead we let him run again for President on a platform that is essentially you ain't seen nothing yet. I get it that patience has never been one of my core strengths but goddamnit, it's time to shit or get off the pot. I had high hopes for Garland but now I see him as one of those guys who have velcro shoe closures because tying a bow is just too much of a decision. Yes, Jack Smith looks mean and we're supposed to be giddy because he has the reputation of being a hunter. But as any real hunter knows it ain't meat until it's in the pan and the reality is that every shot isn't a kill shot. On occasion you need to finish the hunt later. The bottom line is that it most certainly can get to where it's too late to make the right decision. Sometimes it gets to where it's time to do something even if it's wrong. If it's not yet that time it ain't far from it.
  16. Sounds like the morons put a DZO in charge.
  17. You want something to not understand, try this on for size: Great day to be a registered republican.
  18. No, he was getting all chubby about math. Any who, I'm reading that between 900 and 1500 pairs were herded aboard. Assuming it was kitty cats first before they created disorder in the line up, it must have been a hell of a management job to get each pair to their berths while still keeping the Cobras from skipping line up to where the Rats were waiting. I live on a boat and I gotta tell you that just the basic pre-board briefing to Humans on how to use the head can be time consuming so Captain Noah would have been a busy Beaver, and a natural biologist. For example, did you know that Brazilian Guinea Pigs and even Lions can be gay? In fact hundreds of mammals are doing the two by two step in nature every day and I can't imagine planning to offer conversion therapy to Hoary Marmots, much less Warthogs, was the back up plan. Back to reality, now Colorado Congresspersonoffaith Lauren "Chacma" Baboon has concluded that teaching kids to have gay sex in school (apparently they can not even wait to get on the bus) needs to stop and NOW! "Yeah, I mean, they have comprehensive sex ed. They're teaching kids how to have and enjoy sex, and even same-sex sex, how to pleasure themselves. This is not something elementary students should learn, nor any student in a public school," she continued. "Um, so, you know, these are the things that we need to go after and, um, and cut their funding." Noah would be proud.
  19. Those were 2023 square-ish cubits Professor.
  20. So what? It's about time we found out who is gay without measuring foot placement in public toilet stalls.
  21. They just convicted Jan 6 insurrectionist number 1000 and we still wait for the ringleader to be indicted on any charges at all. It’s getting easier and easier to believe the DOJ and Georgia will slow walk this to another Trump election. What a damn joke.
  22. When your proof that your book is true is the proof in the book-and nowhere else-you come to the table with nothing. How Ron cannot see that is a frustration, yes, but no mystery.
  23. Well, given that you're quartered in your own house I guess we can skip amendment #3. Otherwise.......
  24. Fair enough. But given the many failures inherent in that plan and the cobbled together mish-mash of compromises that followed is there some more current touchstone we can use to judge what you might consider a strategic plan for these, not yet ended, times?
