I was living near Choctaw, OK. Nearest Taco Bell was a 30min round trip to get to. Now I'm back in the north side of OKC. Heh...no doubt, Dave. I pretty much just roke down and threw away anything I hadn't used in 6-12 months and anything that didn't have any real sentimental value. I don't know whether to be sad, or happy, that all of my posessions will just fit into a 14' U-Haul. And what's with the Ninja Turtles? Another reason why I'm not getting a tandem rating. Tandem mains and reserves are different animals, I'll grant you that. If my Stiletto isn't open after 5-6 seconds of snivel, I'm tugging on the rears to speed things up then chopping it if it still wants to just stay all compressed and pouty about opening. But, thanks for proving my point, 15 seconds for 1500 feet is roughly half belly terminal speed. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

I just made me and the woman some excellent chicken enchilada soup tonight. It's best with some corn tortillas or you can get by with some corn chips. Very filling and very meaty. My late fiance came up with the recipe.

I've heard of people doing what's called a "flat stack pull" with normal rigs. They get into 4-way side-body then #1 pulls the PC of the person next to him, and so on, and so on, and so on. Ummm....none for me thanks! Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

It just looks that way...it's a little hard to tell from the pic is all. What he's doing is putting himself in a 1/2 line-twist to face backwards during his swoop. A very nicely sick maneuver if pulled off right. I watched someone pull that off at the pond at Rantoul last year...insanely sweet move. My Altimaster Galaxy is insanely bright at night. Just make sure you stick it under a bright lamp for a few minutes before you go up then check it in a dark room and you should be fine.

If there's no traffic around, once I've done my housekeeping (harness/riser turn to heading, stowing slider, loosening chest strap, releasing toggles), I'll take my hands out of my toggles to de-gunk my sunglasses, or undo the leg zippers on my bird-man suit. I just make sure my hands are back in them by my hard deck so I can start taking care of my pattern. Of course, while my hands are out, and I'm busy with other things, I still keep my ears open and my head on a swivel to watch out for others who may have come into my area of the sky. Another thing you're forgetting as well....as soon as that bag comes off your back you're already starting to decelerate. Same thing when your canopy is snivelling. This is a big reason why people think they have 1000' openings, although they're very rare. A really slow opening on my Stiletto, where it snivels for 2-4 seconds, is usually only chewing up about 400-600 feet. I watched someone deploy about 300' away from me and they swore they had a 1000' opening, it was maybe 400'. It's more of a perception thing. Lightnings frighten me with their landings, but I have seen some pretty amazing things done with them, and even with an Aerodyne Smart reserve that easily went almost 180' on a swoop. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
