Depends on your hearing. I've heard my wrist mount Neptune go off on a Birdman jump before. Then again, mine does seem to be a lot louder than someone elses Neptune I've listend to. *shrug* Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Good answer, Piisfish. If it happened once, but they didn't do it on subsequent dives, I'd write it off after talking with them about it. And if you understand and accept that level of risk then to hell with anyone that says you shouldn't be jumping. Butt-slides are tricky landings to begin with, but you've definitely got the jump experience to pull them off.

Living will? Check. As for me, I like to play it safe and have a reserve that's larger than my main. I know, I know...I like to defy trends. It's rediculously expensive to do it that way. Think on the order of millions of dollars a gram. Also, the energy needed to create it would be more than you'd get out of it. It's a great achievement, but the reality is that this version of it requires gobs more energy put in than it give out. Also, it give off very low energy (~1E-8 jules). However, it does have possible applications in certain areas such as thrust for small space probes and there are some other industries looking into it as well. I'd love to see true Helium-3 fusion reactors working in my lifetime, but we still have to get to the moon to mine the Helium-3. From what I remember, a few Kg of HE-3 will power NYC nicely for several weeks, with water being the only byproduct given off.
