Now that's some funny shit right there! Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Shush it, Remtard. You're just jealous because the authorities won't allow you to have things like blowtorches around, and for good reason. Mrs. O'Leary's cow my ass! Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Hehe...I'll just have to cook dinner for you sometime, Dags.

Mine is a G3, made in August of 01'. I specified that it hold a 170 semi-tight as I'd planned on downsizing my 190 soon afterwards. I can easily get my Stiletto 190 into it but I've kept hanging onto it because I keep learning something new under it every time I fly it. I've jumped a HiPer Nitro 150 in it and the only thing keeping tension on the closing loop was the fact that I shortened the loop enough that it barely cleared the grommets, even with nothing in the pack tray. Waittaminute! If ASC is really behind this, does this mean there's going to be lots of copies of virtual Shimmell's that don't actually exist? I'm so confused. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

I feel the same way about fishsticks. And, after what I went through, I'm adding the biscuits and gravy from the company cafeteria to that list. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Sorry, but I have to agree with Canuck. Even with my 400+ jumps, a camera adds a lot of potential hazard and distractions to a skydive. And, to be honest, 400 jumps is hardly any experience at all. Granted, different people have different comfort levels. As for newbies being given help, I'd rather see someone get the right instructions than to have someone tell them they're not ready and have them try to figure it out for themselves. *shrug* Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Looks like I'm doing a lot better than I was 20 minutes ago. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

I hope he doesn't see this and get a big head, but there's one at my DZ. He started jumping at 15 and just turned 18 but he's doing some incredible things under an FX98. I think he's got about 300 jumps on it now. I can't wait to see what kind of things he'll be doing a few years from now.

That may have been true "back in the day", but current laptop 2.5" HDD's are pretty reliable pieces of equipment. However, most laptop drives are still 5200 RPM with notoriously low cache, so I second the reccomendation of a good 3.5" HDD in an external fire-wire enclosure. *scribbling notes furiously* So...ummm...how do you feel about Messicans that like to wear purple? Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

It sounds good in theory, but it doesn't work that way in practice. Once you put it on your head it becomes a possible distraction. From your gear-up process, to turning it on before your jump, to freefall (and you WILL be trying to keep things in frame), and especially your emergency procedures. Ditto. I thought the Samurai was the fastest turning canopy I'd tried until I took a Diablo for a spin. Definitely not a novice canopy by any means and the flare could have been a bit better as well. Very touchy canopy. As for the fit, I have an M4 and mine holds a 170 pretty loosely. I'd be nervous putting a 150 in it, especially one that packs as small as a Diablo does. Yes, but in a "Kris" to "Kris" convo, one can cut that short. Really. It's in the "Field Guide to North American Kris Varieties". Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

How you doin'? Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Thanks, Katee & Val...I appreciate it.

*urp* No thanks. Not an issue actually. I'm a cheap date. It takes me over a month to finish off a 6-pack usually. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Grrr....no vodka? Great minds think alike though. I had some broth and crackers a few minutes ago and am feeling worlds better. Maybe I'll feel up to some sushi later. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

I was up sick all last night, called into work this morning, grabbed about 4 hours of sleep around 7am, and have been through 3 bottles of Gatorade and a bottle of Pedialyte. I'm hungry now, but the thought of food is sickening. On the plus side though, I think my wingloading has gone down a little. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

I want that one on my phone! That's one of 2 I have in use on my PC's and it's on my phone for SMS messages. The only other one I have is the famous Godzilla roar when my PC starts up under either Linux or Windows. I leave all other sounds off as they're just annoying. I'm leaving! Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
