  1. Wow. So, so...authoritative, so in control... Well, I guess we know who's bringing the leather & a whip to RPC. Kris (I am so gonna' get it now...) Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  2. Damn. Shhhh! Be quiet, you! Kris (umm, I'm sure I've been there before... you're not buying it, are you? crap.) Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  3. Mmmm! Margarita's! Kris Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  4. David Lee Roth with Steve Vai on lead guitar. David Lee Roth is an idiot, but Steve Vai can really wail on a guitar. Kris Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  5. Yeah, except for the fact that they're evil on a stick when you take them to terminal for opening. Accuracy canopies are generally designed for really quick openings since accuracy dives are generally hop & pop's. They can be taken to terminal but you have to be really careful with them. Kris Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  6. Oh yes! All three should be there! There is no suitable excuse for missing this one. Kris Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  7. And you can't get out over residential areas I believe. Kris Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  8. Here is a great, cheap source for the clear rubber pads to prevent your altimeter from getting scratched. Just put one on the center of the face and you're good to go. $2 for a 12-pack...not too shabby. Clear Rubber Cushion Feet Mine has lasted over 200 jumps so far and it shows no sign of coming off anytime soon. My FT-50 has yet to get a single scratch on the face. Kris Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  9. Your profile doesn't exactly lend itself to useful information. You want to know about organizing at the WFFC, but without knowing your skill level it's a bit hard to know where to send you. You dig? Kris Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  10. Don't worry, we're "mostly harmless". And, yes, you must jump with one of us. It's like, the law, or something. Kris aka Carné Sonic Rodriguez Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

    RSLs

Umm, wouldn't that put it directly in the path of the reserve launch? Not to mention the fact that stunt is going to take a good chunk of time as well while increasing your freefall speed. I do agree with you on RSL's though. Kris Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  12. You're better off asking Aggie on that one. I'm not familiar with the dry cleaning process or what chemicals are used. Sorry. Kris Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  13. Depends on how much you love your washing machine. I know of one person who destroyed his machine trying that. It was probably more from the unbalanced rotational mass, but still, that's a lot of knocking around for the rig hardware to take I would think. The big advantage of cleaning in a tub is that you can more easily clean the tough areas that may need a little extra attention. Kris Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  14. Heh. You haven't seen me, have you? I think I could go for at least 3 weeks before starvation sets in. It is truly amazing how many times one can fake a brain aneurysm and get away with it. Kris Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  15. Simple fix. Take a clear, plastic equipment foot (those little rubber things you put on the bottom of items to keep them from scratching a surface) and put it in the center of your alti. It's about 1/8" across, 1/16" tall and doesn't block the view. You can get them at Lowe's or Home Depot. My FT-50 has over 200 jumps and the lens is flawless. If you set it down face first, it just rolls on the clear bumper and the edges of the alti casing. I have had two Alti-3's and both broke. My FT-50 has been to hell and back and has never failed me. Kris Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  16. Dude, it's a jumper's paradise. It is no problem to get on organized loads. There are full-time, already-comp'd LO's there ready to work with everyone from newbies to old-timer's. Both RW & FF. I did a couple of loads with Brian Germain last year and he's just one of those people that's just happy to help. As are most of the low-pressure LO's there. It's no problem to go to the loading area at times and get in on smaller loads with others either. Jump tix are usually around $18 for the Skyvan, CASA's, Otter & Mullins King Air. Food is reasonable but plan to bring a lot of cash for gatorade & water. IL in August is murder. Beer is free every night. It's included in your registration. CD copy control??

Then again...he could be talking about a data CD. In which case, there are a slew of different methods in use. False file sizes, encrypted keys hidden in overburn areas, file encryption tied to the master, etc... Usually a bit-bit copy with something like Clone-CD will work, but not always. Two of the more popular encryption schema in use today are StarForce and CrypKey. Kris Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

    hmmmm pro tec's

But scarily enough, it's probably the safest helmet there is in skydiving. It is actually designed to take an impact, not just to hold audibles and look cool. Kris Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  21. He would sure get pestered a lot.... "Jesus, pond! Pond, Jesus!" And the Swoop Ponds shall flow with wine. Kris (Umm, dude...I saw what you did with the pond and I was wondering...I have this sage...) Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
  22. Same here. No thanks. Besides, my risers were properly made with hoods on the top toggle lock so a slider-induced toggle-fire isn't an issue on my rig. Kris Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
