Dave, if i so much as catch the faintest essence of foulness in the CASA at the AOT boogie, I'm bouncing you out the back and you know I have the poundage to give it a good try. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Hopefully covering classics by NIN, Rollins Band, TMBG, or Chameleons UK? Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Thanks, Dave. I wouldn't miss it. We're definitely going to kick it at the boogie in true -style. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Not true. It all comes down to how the CD has been mastered. A CD will always be better than an MP3 though. I take my high-end audio quite seriously. Yup. It's mainly used by people who fly video as it helps greatly stabilize the helmet (big plus for keeping an accurate sighting) and cuts down on shakiness in the video. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Agreed! Nobody rocks harder than Pammi! I'm wearing the neckalce she made me as I type this. In fact, as this one is getting a bit run down, I think I'll order me a new one tonight. Someone has to keep her sweatshop kids busy. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Mmmm.....Amy Lee. Sigh. More kittens shall indeed perish this evening. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Your skydive isn't over until you're safely back in the hangar. Stay heads up even while walking back across the landing area. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

It's only a few thousand miles closer than usual. It's the closest perigee of Mars/Earth in recoded history, but not by that much. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Couldn't be from OK. He's white. We Messican's keep our caucasian's under close watch. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

After downloading the MP3's for the Evanesence album, I immediately went out and bought the CD and re-ripped it at 320K. I don't have a problem buying CD's for bands I truly enjoy and want to support, and Amy Lee's band definitely qualifies. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Well, with the mullet, truck, & rifle the suspect could be from TX, too. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Hola! Yup, I definitely remember you...and the plane rides. 3 to a load in a plane that normally holds 5. That was a lot of beef on that plane between all of us. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Sorry, you're not the head anvil anymore. I'm a 5'8", 265# out the door, fat-bastard and I do love to get my jump on. We'll have to get together for an anvil load the next time I'm around Tulsa. Justin, you've gotten some excellent advice here, I really have nothing else to add. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Oh, I beg to differ. There's a jumper at my old DZ (who is currently my rigger) who can do some positively wicked things on a first-gen Sabre. I've seen him do over 200' on it. Also, ask Chuck (SkymonkeyONE) how he likes his Sabre2. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

Ummm.....considering that you had to burn a pair of your shoes at Rantoul because the level of stank was so high...yeah, I'd say so. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

You bring up some good points, Andy. Here's what I have noticed over time... I've been psycho packing since I started skydiving. I have over 200 psycho packs on my Stiletto alone with no issues. It genereally opens on-heading or within a few degrees very consistently. The trick to the symmetry is two-fold. You have to be very careful how you lay the canopy on the ground (i.e., when you flip it 180 and put it on the floor). Until you get used to it, it is easy to lay the canopy down lop-sided and now you have more bulk on one side than the other. As for the attachment point, this is where a bridle extension comes in handy. I have an 8" extension on mine so I can put the bag on it without disturbing the roll or causing the pilot-chute to become uncocked.

And the kinetic energy from someone who freaks out when they realize they aren't on the windline and whips a 180 too low is very high indeed. John, I'm not saying everyone should rush out and start landing downwind, but on a low wind day it is advisable to try it (and crosswind, too) to get an idea of what it will be like. That also goes along with practicing flare & flat turns as well. Of course, if one is going to try that, make sure manifest and everyone else on the load knows your intentions beforehand. What I did to mine was to sew the chin-strap locked once I got it adjusted to where I wanted it. No slippage whatsoever in 200+ jumps on it. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

So very true. I currently do most of my jumping at a DZ where the experienced landing area is usually (4 times out of 5) subject to a crosswind. I've never had a problem with it and have even done some intentional down-winders in lighter (5-8mph) winds. No matter where one jumps, it's better to try it out before hand so people can realize that it's not the scary thing they think it is. Too many people I have seen are way to fixated with being perfectly into the wind, some at the cost of overall safety. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™

I'm an IAD instructor. I've had several students only have to do the required 2 IAD's and 3 practice pulls before moving on to their clear & pull and first freefalls. Students failing an initial IAD level aren't rare, but they aren't that common either. If they do have to make a repeat it usually isn't more than one or two to get their arch or their practice-pull nailed down. If that is truly what is happening in UK/France I would be really interested to see their teaching style / methodology. Sky, Muff Bro, Rodriguez Bro, and Bastion of Purity and Innocence!™
