I love the back roads, and the outdoors. There are some AWESOME places to spend the weekend with a tent. Wow...that was nice too. For graduation I got a phone call from my dad (though he did give me the Lexus for no reason at all), and this really cool diploma :) I love the car. I think that when a person gets to the point of suicidality, they cease to grasp that to commit suicide would truly hurt another person. As stated previously, the use of "Doctor" to refer to a particular profession is a recent innovation used as a status enhancer by medicine men, who before the 18th century were generally moonlighting barbers. ... How I WISH I had a dishwasher. Dish pan hands aren't attractive...lol. But I DO still have my Oscar food processer. Remember those? I'll be in the ER tomorrow too. As for the white coat....it's just a fomite with ring around the collar :) Who has time for ironing? I always wondered why nobody called a JD doctor. Even though most people don't think of a PhD when referring to a doctor, at least that person is still addressed as Dr. So-and-so. I agree with others that you should let her go. You should discuss it with her and probably with her husband too. It's important that she's not able to be secretive about this. BUT...leaving narcotics out when you knew she has a drug problem was kinda setting her up. Even if she is trying to do right, the most important thing for her is to stay away from drugs. Decent analogy. I would also add that there's more than one way to get to your destination on that road trip. Even if it's not the way that MapQuest tells you to go. Ain't that true. This weekend, we drove to Whitewright on the "other" road. PEEL, then pull. My first mal I had a hardish pull. I thought ,"Oh, what the hell?!?!?!?!?" And I applied massive power to the handle and I felt the velcro rip. At that point I realized that the velco was holding it in, not a hard pull. Talking with my buddies back then they all told me to peel first. To be honest I had 600 or so jumps and I was never told that before. Lesson learned. Me too. I was a little freaked out on my first malfunction and even more so when I realized that the pillow didn't pull any easier than it did. But, like you, when I peeled the handle off the velcro, the pull was much easier. Second time wasn't so traumatic.... Maybe I read more into it ... but I think that was her point. We are not a "single species" to be treated identically... she's basically saying "be who you are" and find the woman who likes that about you, and don't worry about the ones who don't (unless all of them don't Laugh). It has everything to do with the “mainstream” religions, all religions survive through faith the belief in something without proof, and teach that this is ok. The members of the HG cult are just one end of the scale, the same end as the suicide bomber, whilst you are probably at the other end. But you are all on the same scale. There are extremes in everything, and there's usually less tolerance for behavior at those extremes. While you can draw some comparisons between HG and more moderate religions, I don't see how one can condemn all religious beliefs because of behavior of the outliers. I get LOTS of warnings, but they (state police) have never mentioned seeing a previous warning in their computer when issuing me a new one. So I'm not thinking they stay in there for very long. Of course not killing people is a good thing. And as long as this is only used when deadly force would otherwise be used, then it's the least bad.
