When we first invaded Iraq, the idea that our interest in their oil was part of our motive was dismissed as ridiculous. But now that some time has passed, a lot of people have died, our timeline has changed, and the reasons and motives for our invasion have become distorted, it's much easier to justify why we now have an interest in their oil. If our stance shifts slightly from time-to-time, it's easy to do a smooth 180. I LOVE Christmas, and it will be merry. I am digging really deep into my pockets this year for a Santa Claus splurge. I'm guessing that this will probably be the last year my little boy holds on to that belief...but maybe not. The longer the better. I don't feel obligated to buy presents, but I enjoy it. We don't buy a bunch of stuff through the year, and it's fun to let Santa come through. My little boy knows I don't have much money, and I think it's great that he still believes.... It wouldn't be nearly as much fun for him if he knew that I bought the booty, because he'd feel guilty knowing that it's hard for me to afford. To me it's money well spent. Family and friends. Nothing like a holiday party. Parties any time are nice, but Christmas parties with friends and nog are extra special to me. And when the WHOLE family gets together for Thanksgiving....what a treat. My kiddo's been marking down the days until Thanksgiving on his calendar. Funny...he's only mentioned Christmas a couple of times. Cousins, aunts, uncles, in-laws and all. Looks like the weather's gonna be great this year for some backyard football :) Bah Humbug if it pleases you, but it's a lot more fun to just enjoy the season! Do you beep the metal detectors when you go through them?? "Sir, You can't say bomb on an aeroplane!" No....but what's kinda eerie is that the week before I broke my ankle I was getting searched before I went into the...umm....prison (lol). My ankle kept setting the metal detector off. I took off my shoe and sock, and my bare ankle set off the detector. Then lo and behold the next week when I was running down Pinnacle mountain I broke it. But now it doesn't set off the metal detectors anymore. linz

I think most fights are pretty stupid. I'm speaking to the one thing you're not speaking to....that it's wrong to hit someone because of something they say. I'm not saying he should've gone to jail. I'm not saying that what the other guy said was okay. Just that HITTING another person is wrong, regardless of what the other person said. linz

What you describe is not a fight. You struck another individual. linz He said that it led to a fight. How exactly did fights start when you went to school? Children in school usually should not be sent to jail for starting a fight. Half of my school would not had graduated had that occured. It led to a fight because he HIT the guy. Otherwise it wouldn't have led to a fight....

I didn't violate his first amendment rights. I punched an asshole in the jaw, he deserved it, and I'd do it again. He didn't deserve it. He said what he thought, though tasteless, and it did not appeal to you. What you did was much worse.... People don't deserve to be beaten into believing and behaving according to another person's standards.

I'm glad that free speech is protected under the Constitution, but it's unfortunate when people's bad behavior is limited only by what's allowable under the law. linz

MY job is more fun than skydiving :) Today I have the day off, and it SUCKS! I'm left to cleaning house, PWing, drinking a beer or two, AND.... I GOT MY HAIR CUT!!! I have short hair now....lol. linz
