The limit of acceptability also varies greatly by how late in the party the beer is brought out. The emergency cases brought out late in the evening can be damned near anything and still be considered acceptable.

When your deep-seated sexual identity insecurities overwhelm you, you look around for someone to project your emotions onto, thus freeing yourself of your lingering gender-crisis guilt by mentally transferring it to the other person.

It depends on the DZ. There doesn't seem to be any broad guidance. My home DZ, where I've bought beer, prefers Corona for some ungodly reason. Whatever! But, when I'm there and I owe, that is what I'll buy. I might bring something else for myself on occasion, but that is my choice.
