Thanks for reminding me that its another holiday away from home. I guess I'll do nothing as I did for thanksgiving and christmas.

The most adventurous thing I have ever done? Id say doing AFF in Germany where the instructors only speak German. I remember sitting through the ground school and all the other german students whrere writing notes and asking questions, and I was just sitting there. when I finaly got out on to the strut ready to jump I remember thinking, what if I missed someting in the instruction that was REALLY important. Oh well, I went for it. I passed all levels with flying colors. And that 2 weeks was by far the best 2 weeks of my life. Throug the language barrier I learned soooo much, and made friends for life. I am currently planing a return trip to jump with them once again! P.S. I was the only student in the class to land in the landing zone on there first jump. In fact I did so well with there instruction that I went from a 260sq ft canopy to a 190sq foot canopy in 15 jumps. And I have and exit weight of 218LBS. Great times!! In fact we jumped throug clouds there my AFF level 4 was done throug the clouds No big deal I could still see my JM and by pull time we where through the clouds.

Im thinking of the Green Goose in downtown Nurenburg across the street from the Bahnhoff. At one point it was off limits to military(2001). Im sure I have lots of great stories from Nurenburg, but unfortunately I wouldnt remember

Souldnt be too long. My exit weight is 215ish. Started with my sabre 170 on jump 35(down from 210). BUT had a real LONG talk with an instructor prior to jumping it. Oh, and pulled high.

hm.. Id have to vote "No" to that one Dave. Mabye in a couple hundred or so more jumps.

I have had nothing but great times at Adventure Center in Holister, Toledo, Eugene Skydivers(Oregon) and FSO (Germany) And hoping to have more great times in Hawaii, Colorado, and Arizona over the next year!

I'm sorry I had to post this here and I realize it happens to everyone but I was just so confused and didnt know who else to tell. The guys I live with(I love them to death) just seemed to laugh it off, and say life goes on. I've realized I need to keep it to myself and try to remember the good times like you have told me(It makes me smile). They don't realize the relationship I had with my G-father. I cant remember the last time I cried, and I guess I'm not supposed to cry cause in a guy. But this has hit me hard. Well I have cards to go buy and send out. TY

I just got a Red Cross message from my folks saying my Grandfather has passed away. A man I loved dearly. A man I respected above all else! And what eats at me the most, is I was thousands of miles away and not able to say goodbye. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942-1945(Pacific Theater) I am what I am today because of him. Gazing at his pictures and medals tucked away in the garage out of everyone elses sight. His day to day diary of the war that he was able to keep even though it would have been confiscated if found. Finding these treasures, I was able to ask him questions and received stories that would have made any 9 year old's imagination soar. I've never had to deal with a death of a loved one so I don't know how I'm supposed to feal and what to do about it. R.I.P. Gramps!

I was surprised with OB. I wasnt expecting much as it is Korean beer, but its pretty good. But I do miss the great tasting beers of Germany! I just tried to fall asleep and couldn't. That makes 32 hours since I sleept last. And I don't see me going to bed early tonight.

yeah 10:30am friday right now. I got off a 24 hour duty at 8. Now im not tired. Us guys in the baracks bought a keg and got it on Ice in the day room. Also got some hamburgers and hotdogs etc. for bbq. Think Im just going to stay up till its time to break that stuff out. EDIT: I need to use the spellchecker more often.
