hmm... reserve pin pulls, reserve pilot chute is supposed to spring off your back. if he was up by the pilot, why didn't he know? just trying to make sense of it...

if you look at the jumpsuit, you can see the wire down his arm goes all the way down to his torso. he's probably got some kind of harness underneath.

my two tandems weren't in a tandem progression, and Shelly at perris says they count.

I'm surprised at how few people know that you can't measure yourself! I used to make renaissance faire court costumes, and I was shocked at how many people sent me their measurements done by themselves even AFTER receiving word that they were to have SOMEONE ELSE measure them. Of course, then, when I sent the dress, it didn't fit! When you measure yourself, you twist and turn in strange ways to hold the tape. it isn't accurate.

Its more pronounced at a DZ or martial arts school... anywhere where the men greatly outnumber the women, I think.

Yep... Sunny, if you want to try the tiger liniment and can't find it, let me know, and I'll see if someone from around here's heading to Eloy (dunno if Rosa's left yet...) and send some along. I need to go back up to chinatown and pick some up for myself anyway, so let me know by tomorrow morning if you want me to grab some for you too.

look very carefully at the arm holding the rig. you can see the cable under the jumpsuit attaching him to it.

I would highly suggest a trip to your local chinese herb shop for some tiger balm or tiger liniment. the liniment is like an oil and is very strong. I think it works much better than the balm, which is like a waxy lotion, but they both work well for aches and muscle soreness.

on the martial arts forum where I'm a moderator, we finally had to just make the "no posting of PMs" an actual forum rule, because every time someone did it, it somehow caused a problem. our reasoning was: if someone wanted to say something to the forum, they'd have posted it to the forum, not to a PM.

Do you have a logbook, Jennifer? You may want to start logging your tandems and get the TM to sign your book. My DZ told me that tandems now count towards the uspa license requirement of 25 skydives.

my parents aren't going to be invited to the DZ until I can stand up my landings regularly, though! If I fall down or butt slide in, I'll never hear the end of it. -

lol. yup. I had a guy grab my ass my first time at a DZ. Didn't even say hello first, just walked up, pinched my butt and asked me if I'd had a good jump. if looks could kill, he'd be a dead man.

heck, I rode the plane down on my level 2 aff because I was so freaked! LOL. I did a tandem that same day to get over the nerves. John, the TM, told me that for some reason lots of people freak on level 2 that didn't freak on level 1.
