I know there was a 16 or 17 yr old kid on here who was claiming to be a senior rigger. in reality, he wasn't certified, and was using his dad's riggers' seal to pack. I searched for the post, but couldn't find it.

I have three body piercings, and seven ear piercings (four in left, three in right). No tats.

could always just stay in the bunkhouse... then you can have all the jello shots you want.
-
hmm... I think the "none for me" would be closest, or pick whichever one you're planning on doing.

There's been a bit of discussion about body art recently, and I was curious as to how many skydivers are into body art/modification, and what they had. post pics of your tats and piercings if you want.

well, sure, I've had unexpected stuff happen... this morning, for example. Both my cats were sick everywhere because of a new food. I had to clean up lots of cat barf before leaving for work. Not having time for my cup of coffee at my apartment, I ducked into a starbucks and found myself faced a long line. It didn't even occur to me to ask for cuts. I just left without my coffee, as I didn't have time to wait. I got coffee when I got to work. When unexpected things come up, you have to accept the consequences. You can ask people to help, but you shouldn't be put off if they choose not to. The guy in line could've been in as much of a hurry as the lady... Perhaps he had to get back for an important meeting. You never know what's going on in others' lives.

if I saw someone hurting another individual, I would consider whether or not interfering would help that individual, or just get me in the same predicament. If I conclude the second, I would call the police on my cell phone rather than interfering myself. If the man had been phyically assaulting the older woman, by all means, interfere in whatever way you can do so with a reasonable amount of caution. However, if he chooses not to be nice and allow someone to cut in line, its his perogative to do so. He was there first. Ideally, if she was late for a flight, she should have left earlier or foregone the trip to the post office. A lack of planning on her part does not obligate the rest of the world to compensate for her. Should they CHOOSE to be nice, great! If not, its her own fault for not planning ahead.

Could you speak up and be certain that causing a scene with this gentleman was not going to endanger your safety? if so, speak up. if not, stay quiet. Better she miss her flight than you be injured or worse. you never know what people are going to do these days.

Starting AFF - condensing the 10 jumps good or not?
Nightingale replied to velvet's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I did my last three AFF jumps in one day. it can be done, you're just going to be exhausted. if you find yourself too tired, don't be afraid to put a jump off til next time. if you're tired, you'll get sloppy, and can be more likely to fail. Take your time and go at your own pace. -
from what I've seen, most follow the main since its more expensive to replace if lost. personally, if I saw someone cutaway, I'd try to chase whatever they didn't.

safe for work??

The police must advise suspects of their "Miranda Rights" - their right to remain silent, their right to an attorney, and the right to an appointed attorney if they are unable to afford counsel - prior to conducting a custodial interrogation. If a suspect is not in police custody (i.e., "under arrest"), the police do not have to warn him of his rights. The police are very aware of when they have to read suspects their "Miranda Rights." The police will frequently question a suspect, specifically telling the suspect, "You are not under arrest, and are free to go. However, we would like you to answer some questions." After the suspect voluntarily answers questions, and sometimes if he refuses, he is arrested. The questioning, being voluntary and non-custodial, is usually admissible. After arrest, the police may have no interest in further questioning, and thus may not ever read the suspect his "Miranda Rights." http://www.expertlaw.com/library/pubarticles/Criminal/Rights.html

hmm.... bout all I remember the bible saying about premarital sex is that if a man "deflowers" a virgin, he has to pay her father a fee. Deuteronomy 22:28 The definition of adultry requires at least one of the parties to be married, so the commandment "thou shalt not commit adultry" isn't referring to premarital sex, but extramarital sex. Corinthians 6:16 warns men against having sex with prostitutes. Corinthians 6:18 warns against "sexual sin" but doesn't define it. Corinthians 7:2 says "Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband." The woman also with whom man shall lie with seed of copulation, they shall both bathe themselves in water, and be unclean until the even. Leviticus 15:18 so, the only passage I could find directly regarding sex says that if a man has sex with a woman, they're supposed to take a bath and be considered "unclean" until the evening. perhaps there's some other stuff I missed, but that's all I could find at this time.

when are you going? easiest way is to rent a car. more difficult way is: Take the Green line shuttle from LAX to the Green Line. Take the Green line rail to the norwalk station. Take the Metrolink Train from the Norwalk Station to the West Corona station. (make sure you get on the Riverside train, not the San Diego or Oceanside train). Get someone you know at Elsinore to pick you up from the West Corona train station, which is about 15 miles north of Elsinore. There are no busses or the like that can take you the whole way.
-
HELL NO!!!!! pick one or the other.

Take Legal Action. don't mess with his email. Don't bug him on forums. Just call an attorney. If you start harassing him, it would give him additional leverage should you need to take him to court at a later date.
