John, I work my planning into 3 groups, short term 0-3 years, long term 5-10 years and retirement. Nothing is carved in stone as you said; but, it gives me something to evaluate each January and see how I am doing. It's really amazing how some things change in a few months/years and how somethings start to come more into focus. I limit my planning to 3 broad areas family (planning for children in the near future), money (retirement/college expense, etc) and career. Also in my opinion, don't plan too much. There has to be enough wiggle room to have fun. It's not only about meeting goals. It's about living a life that is fulfilling. The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand.

I have a pretty good vibe coming from Mesquite. Brad sent me a few e-mails and he just seemed like a nice, easy going guy. I'm sure any lack of "facilities" will be made up with good times. Maybe I'll break down and get a room. $40/day isn't so bad. Anyone got a room to share? The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand.

I think it's a great start. As someone who was self employed for a while, I know health care can be VERY expensive. I was paying $780/month for myself and wife on a fairly low level plan. One person alone was not too much cheaper. One injury I had ran a little over $72,000 with only about $2,500 coming out of my pocket. Thank God I had a top notch plan from my current employer. It is a great first step and seems tailor made to our sport. Hopefully people will take advantage of it if they are eligible. I am not a fan of the idea of putting the Superbowl in warm weather stadiums and domed stadiums. I think it should rotate the Superbowl between all the stadiums in the league. Let see a Superbowl in Greenbay or Giant stadium. Let the weather be a factor. It's football damn it. The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand.

Hey man, keep your head up. 2004 was supposed to be my year. Get my A in june, break finger in July and surgery to put 2 pins in it. August, land out, surgery to put plates in my head. Ouch. October, jettski accident and bad concussion. The whole summer gone. On the upside you will be ok. You have a wife to love you and the accident did not happen until after X-mas so you had time to be with your family. Health is everything. Seems like you will get yours back. So I will be going to Las Vegas twice in Feb. Not much of a gambler so I we have tickets for Blue Man Group on Valentines weekend. We are thinking about doing the helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam with an off road trip through the desert. Has anyone done one of these? Well, I will be in Vegas for about a week in February. Most likely 2/12 through 2/20. The wife is going for work and her company will pay for me to come visit. God I love her new job. So what is good to do besides gamble. Can I jump out there? I am not current and I will be working on getting a re-pack before going. Any really great shows I can take Eva to? Any special resturants? Well, she did it!!!! My wife passed the CPA exam!! She worked so hard and it paid off for her. I am so proud and happy I had to share!!!
