  1. I do not lock up my stuff. I put all my valuables in my gear bag. I trust the club members. I do not leave my wallet, keys etc out over on the student side. I trust the students and staff; but, there are tooo many tandems and friends that just pass through. I also for that when I got hurt, it was nice to have everything where people could gather my stuff. This allowed to take my truck to the hospital for me and to have acces to my phone to call my family. I trust the people at my DZ 100% If I did not, I would look elsewhere. Plus in general, if you want something I have you can use it or have it if I have extra. B The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand.
  2. Congrats!! Feel better and ease your way back into work. B The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand.
  3. WOW. Thank God you are all right. Take it easy for a while, it looks like you used up a whole bunch of your good luck. The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand.
  4. Anyone have either one? Anyone use them? My wife want to get a GPS for her car. These are the 2 we are considering. The TOM TOM Go is also a 3rd choice. I was hoping to get some 1st hand advice before shelling out 50 jump tickets. Thanks for the help. B The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand.
  5. It's both good and bad. It's great to get publicity and to have his hard work recognized. The bad part is that it may push him over his server usage again. Either way, a great sight. And thanks for all the hard work. The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand.
  6. I voted not sure. I tend to use the simple rule that if it seems very unusual, then it should be dealt with carefully. It would just seem wrong that the water level would fall several feet in a few minutes. If it leaves fast i would believe that it would return fast. I may not have been able to put 2+2; but, I probably would have gotten the camera. My heart goes out to all affected. 7. At this point is it worth fixing? For about $300 you get a good quality dryer. Do you give up $50 to $100 and a Saturday to fix it and still have a 10 year old machine. Here's a best buy machine from Consumer reports. 10 Whirlpool LEQ8000J[Q] CR Best Buy You can get it under $300. There is not too much to a dryer. It really is a pretty simple machine. Here is a link that might help http://www.bobvila.com/FixItClub/Subject/Appliances/Clothes_Dryer/FIG_Motor.html Good luck either way. 11. 12 degrees here in NYC. Actually it was a pretty day. Blue skies and no real wind, just cold. Winter is coming!!! The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand.
  12. Isn't that ALWAYS ALLOWED in a guys truck.
  13. How many jump tickets did that cost????? The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand.
  14. Jeffery, Battery life was one of the main concerns for me also. Ryobi was recommended from a person on the land rover forums because they have average life; but, cheap to replace. $40 for 2 18.0 volt batteries. I figure 2 years or so from the batteries. If they are still going strong after 2 years, I will replace the batteries. We will see. Can't really go wron for $135 for a drill, sawz all, trim saw, flashlight and vacuum. 15. Great, I'll pick it up tomorrow. Thanks for the help. B The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand.
  16. If I need 24 volts, I will do as you said, just haul out the wired stuff. To drill out rivets, cut small braches off the tree, etc, etc, cordless should be fine. For $135, I don't think I can go wrong. 17. So I am thinking about buying this http://www.homedepot.com/prel80/HDUS/EN_US/diy_main/pg_diy.jsp?CNTTYPE=PROD_META&CNTKEY=misc/searchResults.jsp&N=2984+5777&cm_ven=hd_over&cm_cat=Search&cm_pla=HD&cm_ite=bid10111496-home_depot They will not be my main tools. Just supplements to use when the real tools might be a pain to haul out. I own Milawalkee sawz all, circular saw, 1/2 inch hole shooter and angle grinder, so they should never see any real hardship. Anyone use Ryobi stuff? Any recommendations? I am looking to keep it under $200. Thanks, B The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand.
  18. The simple question is why would you even take the risk by drinking the night before? You knew that you had this interview. You know there was a possibility that you may have to take some sort of drug/alcohol test. In my mind that is just poor judgement. Did you really need to go out and have a few drinks? Personally I would not give you another chance. If you came to interview with me and you could not pass up one night drinking, I would be concerned. Just my opinion. 20. I just got it today!!!! IT's GREAT. He blows Ill Mithc away. Go out and buy it today. It will make you laugh and laugh. You will definitely be in th holiday mood after listening to it. Don't forget the "bonus" track that is after his holiday wishes at the end.
  21. AW, I would say that your $3,000 budget is about right. I built my rig for $2400 and then add an altimeter, goggles, jump suit and helmet, gear bag and you are just about right. Work with your coaches to help you pick out gear. They will know what is right for your level. Also bring EVERYTHING to a rigger before you buy. When it comes to a canopy, big is good at our stage. I only have 40 jumps. I am 180 out the door jumping a safire 189. I don't see any reason to change my canopy for a long time. I am no where near it's limits. Buy good quality used gear and jump it to death. When you think you can fly it to the limits, get more coaching. You will be surprised what a somewhat modern canopy can do. Have fun and be safe. 22. I am the "different one" in my family. The strange thing is that in my family instead of being the outcast, I am supported. We were at my cousin's wedding tonight. When my skydiving injury came up, many people gave the the "you're crazy" lecture. My father finally had enough and said "If that's what he wants to do and he does his best to be careful, then I support him. He does not have to answer to anyone except himself and Eva (my wife)." I was so proud and happy. My whole family has always supported me when I wanted to do something different. I guess I am just lucky to have them. Sorry to waste your time with nice posts about my whuffo family. I just wanted to share how lucky I am!!
  23. I know I am biased since I work for an Investment Bank; but, I would say only a dark blue or grey single breasted suit with a white shirt. If the job is very casual, you may be able to get away with Khaki's and a white shirt. Alot is judged by how you look. You only get one shot to make that first impression. I interview poeple several times a year. You will be amazed what an interviewer picks up on. In my opinion, here are the basics. 1) Fresh hair cut 2) Clean and crisp. If you wear khaki's and a white shirt make sure the are pressed professionally for the interview. Finger nails clean, etc, etc 3) Very little or no cologne 4) A fresh shoe shine 5) At least 5 copies of your resume on good paper 6) Read and understand as much about the hospital and the job as possible. The more professional you look and the more it looks like you think this interview is the most important thing you have the better. You only get one shot, there is no reserve to pull in an interview. Have fun and good luck. You can do it. B The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand.
  24. Flyinghonu, It's a very tough answer to answer. There are so many questions to answer before you can get an answer on price. Are you getting headers, cat back only, stainless steel, etc, etc, etc. I would think that you are looking at a minimum of $500 and up. Add headers and a "X" or "H" pipe, performance cats, it could easily run $1,500. I think that even if it would spoil the surprise, you would most likely be better off giving him the money to buy the system he wants on his truck. If he is particular about his truck, he most likely has a very good idea of what he wants for his truck. The exhaust should be matched to any current modifications he has or plans to do in the near future. Also he may be looking for a specific sound from the exhaust. I hope this helps. PS. You're a pretty cool wife!!! Your hubby's a lucky guy. B The only time you should look down on someone is when you are offering them your hand.
