Yes, I have. Edit for clarity: And it was even a regular ol' marriage to a guy. Not one of these new-fangled "gay marriages" Owned by Remi #?

The right thing for him to do is to take responsibility for his own birth control if he doesn't want a baby. Owned by Remi #?

In another thread here someone said that the Hornet and the Pilot were different planforms. I say that they are the same planform. The are both lightly elliptical. When we tell someone not to change planforms and downsize at the same size what we really mean is don't move to a more elliptical class of canopy and downsize at the same time. It's our common usage of the word planform. It doesn't mean that you shouldn't go from a Hornet 190 to a Sabre2 170 at the same time. It means that you shouldn't go from a Hornet 190 to a Katana 170 at the same time. I'm being called obtuse and shown the wiki definition of the word planform. So who's right in your opinion. I'll take my lumps publicly if the majority disagree with me. Owned by Remi #?

No, not really. That's a general purpose, non-skydiving definition and I have no issues with it. In skydiving terms, the word 'planform' is very commonly used to differentiate between classes of canopies and how tapered they are. Even though almost every single canopy made is actually elliptical, we call them square (Spectre), lightly elliptical (Sabre2, Pilot, Hornet, Saffire), fully elliptical (Katana, Stilletto) When someone here says "Don't change planforms and downsize at the same time", they're really saying don't switch to a more elliptical class of canopy and downsize at the same time. It is common usage here. This whole argument started when someone claimed that the Hornet and the Pilot are 2 different planforms. In our common usage, I say that they are the same planform. They are both lightly elliptical. Owned by Remi #?

I'm not being obtuse. Planform actually means something when you're discussing canopies. We tell people not to change planforms and downsize at the same time. That means, for example, not to downsize and go from a lightly elliptical to a fully elliptical canopy at the same time. It doesn't mean that you shouldn't downsize and switch from a Hornet to a Pilot at the same time. It's the change of what we commonly accept the term "planform" to mean as canopy pilots. It's pretty simple, isn't it? If you don't want to have a child with this woman, don't have sex with her. Or *at least* take responsibility for your own birth control. It's not *her* responsibility to protect you. Owned by Remi #?

The second the guy in this example decided to not take responsibility for his own birth control and wear a condom if he didn't want a child, he took responsibility for the possibility that a child would be born. End of story. Owned by Remi #?

Not fixed. The canopies may have marginally different designs but they all have the same planform - they are all lightly tapered elipticals. "Planform" is the general shape of the wing when viewed from the top or bottom. http://www.bigairsportz.com/lotus.php Owned by Remi #?

No they aren't. They're both 9-cell semi/lightly elliptical. Owned by Remi #?

The Hornet and the Sabre 2 are very similar. If your flare is a bit high, assuming that you mean the canopy flares and reaches its stall point when your arms aren't fully extended or very soon after they are, you can have a rigger lengthen your brake lines. I liked the Hornets because I liked the way they opened and I liked they way they flew. They were my first canopies and they were a hell of a lot more fun than the student Navigators. They were also easy to pack. The ZP that they used was a slightly different coating. In addition to that, they had color coded tabs at the line attachment points on the canopy that made them really easy to flake. Owned by Remi #?

Can't answer your question, sorry, but I did want to suggest that you consider a couple of things. If you're asking this question because the answer will influence your decision, you probably shouldn't bother unless you know that the slider is the original. You can also replace the slider if you want a larger one. Shouldn't be terribly expensive. And last of all, you should have a rigger inspect the gear before you buy it. Most experienced riggers should be able to tell you if the canopy has a larger than usual slider. Last, last of all. My first 2 canopies were Hornets. I really really liked them. Owned by Remi #?

A few weeks ago I went to a AA baseball game here in Akron that was supporting the Gay Games 2014, happening in Cleveland and Akron next year. I seriously don't want this to digress into a discussion about the need for "Gay Games" Anyway... I'm standing at a booth with a couple of friends filling out a form for a free registration and this guy walks up in "free stuff" mode. Starts to fill out a form.. Then he says "wait.. this is gay?" Me: Yeah, but on this level, it's just sports.. Him: I can't support this Me: It's just sports Him: But I'm married Me: (huh) Me: It's just sports. You don't have to suck dick to watch Him: I can't support this. I know that someone will ask why there's a need for "gay games" Reference the 2014 Olympics in Russia for your answer Owned by Remi #?

I don't think that it's unreasonable at all to list it as a possibility because people really aren't above that kind of behavior. What I do think is unreasonable is to say that it's VERY likely that they did it on purpose absent any of the actual facts. I classify that as being over the top. Owned by Remi #?

That's very true. I knew that my second example was over the top (hence the wink), but it's pretty much how a lot of things go, albeit more subtly, in the world. Take Turtle for example. Based on your pretty balanced conjecture / opinion, he has already announced that it's VERY (not even very) likely that the people who tried to buy the stupid cake in the first place set all of this up on purpose. 2 straight people walk into a bakery: "Hi we're getting married and we'd like to buy a cake" response: "Congratulations, what did you have in mind?" 2 gay people walk into a bakery: "Hi we're getting married and we'd like to buy a cake" response: "Why do you guys have to flounce around cramming your gay lifestyle down my throat?" What "life style"? Jesus Christ this "life style" shit is getting old. Did they hold a pagan lesbian sex ritual in his shop? I wish I could get a few extra days off or not have to pay taxes because my "life style" got in the way. Owned by Remi #?

Thanks, Wendy When I first started reading about the "militant homosexual activists" who were "attacking" with "mob tactics" I was expecting to read on to find out that angry protesters were crowing outside the business with bullhorns waving Molotov cocktails or something. They've organized an aggressive boycott and the state has taken notice that one of its laws is being broken. The business owners come across like cry-babies. If they're going to chose to deny service to a group of people they should realize that they're going to face consequences. If they want to do business in the free market, they have to follow the law. If their religion is *that* important to them, then they should do something else. Owned by Remi #?
