  1. In my opinion, a steady, "quick" but not rushed approach is better than trying to be faster. You're not likely to beat any type of RSL and trying to do that makes the primary focus of your procedure change. Your primary purpose is to execute your EPs as practiced and make sure you have a clean cutaway and pull your reserve handle. Practice it at a steady and careful pace and execute it at the same pace when you need to do it. If your RSL beats you, fine. It did it's job. If your RSL fails for some reason then you're still fine. Keep the focus of your EPs on getting the job done right, not beating your RSL. Owned by Remi #?
  2. My personal opinion is different. While I do wish very much that zoos could have much larger habitats for most animals, I don't think that putting a six year old in front of a television to watch lions in the Serengeti instills the same awe and awareness in them that being 6 inches from a lion in the zoo does. I've seen that look of wonder many, many times because I visit my local zoo once a week or more. It's a nice place to take a walk. I think that the personal connection that zoo programs build for kids have value. It might make them interested in learning more from the discovery channel when they're a little older. 3. The last time I was there was a couple of weeks ago. You said civilians can't get into the base. The museums are on the base. Civilians can go the museums, therefore civilians can get onto the base. If you meant to say "civilians can't get onto that part of the base", then be specific. I'm not sure if that's true or not regardless. You don't count the civilians who work there as civilians, btw? Owned by Remi #?
  4. You're going to develop some blood pressure issues if you approach this forum from this angle. That, or you'll get a ticket out pretty quickly Owned by Remi #?
  5. Not true. The last time I was there, all you had to do is drive (on weekends) or walk up to the correct gate and tell them that you want to visit the museums on base. Owned by Remi #?
  6. That's a bit circular considering that a criminal is someone who has already committed a crime... Yeah, yeah. I know what you meant. Owned by Remi #?
  7. Nah. They just call themselves "bears" Owned by Remi #?
  8. Oh good grief what a waste of money. Anyone with a little common sense could figure this out. Most women don't care as much if their partners are overweight as guys do. Owned by Remi #?
  9. No way. The oldest profession was born from the fact that some guys couldn't lie well enough to get laid, so they just gave up and went out of pocket. Owned by Remi #?
  10. Don't get me wrong... I think that what she did is unforgivable, however... He made the choice not to wear a condom. Owned by Remi #?
  11. Lol. I guess he should put the video on Youtube or something. Owned by Remi #?
  12. My ex used to say "before you make a relationship commitment to someone, assemble a piece of furniture with them and go on a vacation trip with them" Owned by Remi #?
  13. He could have chosen to wear a condom Owned by Remi #?
  14. In my opinion, the best way to do it is to find someone with experience to explain the rules and jump with you and coach you as a group. Oh.. and you'll probably get better advice if you ask this question in the RW or FF specific forums depending on what kind of team you guys want to form) Owned by Remi #?
  15. It's kinda like paying a packer. If you trust someone else to handle the birth control and they do it poorly, it's your ass on the line :-D If men don't want to take personal responsibility for birth control, then they have to take responsibility for the results. Hell, even if they *do* use birth control, they still have to take responsibility. Everyone does. Pregnancy is one of the implicit risks (if you look at it that way) of sex. Even if you take all precautions, you might end up a parent. Not taking *all* the possible precautions means that the risk is higher. Most guys just don't seem to get this. Or they just flatly don't like the idea of getting a vasectomy or using a condom. That's a personal choice and it increases their risk. Like I said before, it's not rocket science. Owned by Remi #?
  16. If guys only had access to a product that they could use to significantly reduce the chance that they would contribute to a pregnancy... Oh wait... Owned by Remi #?
  17. I know a couple of people who show up once or twice a year at the DZ and open high, take a long canopy flight, and then disappear after they land. I might think that's boring when they think that it's the best thing they do all year. Those guys are exiting way, way after other people and not causing exit separation issues. They're landing way, way after other people and not causing landing issues. And they're having fun. They have a purpose and a goal. What I try to remember is that almost anything is boring if you keep doing it over and over just because you can and don't have goals and you weren't really interested in the first place other than to have crossed something off a list. My point is, anything can be boring if you don't have a purpose. Their purpose is to get into the air and fly and it's not boring to them. If that's the only thing I did, I'd get bored... but I jump because I enjoy doing new things and learning new things. Keeps me from getting bored. Mileage varies. Owned by Remi #?

I'm going to defer just because I admire how articulate you are Owned by Remi #?
  19. Nope. In the example, he was assuming that *she* was being responsible about *her* birth control options. Owned by Remi #?
  20. It wouldn't be his fault, but it would certainly be his responsibility. When he chooses to have sex with his wife, he has to also assume the responsibility that a pregnancy may result regardless of her deception. Men also have access to birth control. Most choose not to use any. That choice increases the possibility that his wife might get pregnant. Choosing not to use birth control for himself makes him responsible. It's not rocket science. I misunderstood I'm not the least bit "butthurt" (to the post above). I think that this is fun Owned by Remi #?
