Holy crap! Wow! Good for us! Good for you? Glad you're happy with your decision, I'm sure everyone here will be.
-
In the future I will do that - but... she said she was required to ask and document what items are being insured. So anything deviating from the documentation could total void the insurance. Seems like I should just drive the hundreds of miles and hand deliver them Jen Arianna Frances

Then how do you insure something like that? Jen Arianna Frances

How does postage insurance work? By nature - doesn't insurance mean providing the means necessary to restore 'insurance item' to its status before 'accident' occured? So... I'm at the post office mailing some film negatives for the calendar project to an important part of our development team. I place all the items in a acid free cardboard envelope and place all of them in a padded/bubble wrap envelope to protect it from bumps and rain water. I fill out the slips necessary to get insurance. Hell, these things are our entire project. If something where to happen to them the calendar would be a bust... insurance is a no brainer right? I bring it up to the counter and the lady at the counter asks me the value of the items inside. I tell her - "well, thats impossible to say. They're the result of a service rendered and I can't put an exact dollar value on them. The only thing I can do is estimate the cost to replace them, which would be airfare etc. to the locations the pictures were taken etc. I'll place the entire value at $3,000." "No, you can only insure the actual items. How much are they worth?" she says. I stare at her blankly thinking 'Did she hear me?'. "Well... these are a vital part of a project that has the potential of raising $100,000. Can I insurance them for a portion of that?" I ask. "No, just what they're worth". Well... shit lady, they're worth a TON of freakin' money to me. They're worth 9 months of time and effort on a ton of people and I want to make sure you don't fuck it up and leave them on some doorstep to get eaten by a neighbors dog! (ya, I wish I had said that)..... But I just left it at that. She stamped it a bunch of times with "DO NOT BEND" and "FRAGILE". Like thats going to do anything So how does postage insurance work? I'm thinking I should send everything UPS from now on Jen Arianna Frances

I'm as crafty as they come - you name it, I do it, no lie. I do lots of sewing, knitting etc... but I've never participated in a club with other 'young' people - let alone a group of guys... I've heard its the 'up and coming' craft craze...so who knows. I don't know how I'd feel if my husband gave up the football game to knit I would probably think that it was a phase he'd grow out of... but then again, his 'femanine side' is not his best 'quality' LOL Jen Arianna Frances

Maybe its a Wisconsin thing? Guy - whats your take on this? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5936679/ ALTOONA, Wis. - This Monday night men’s club doesn’t watch football. Thirty to 40 young men in Altoona, Wis., meet to crochet. The Male Crochet Club formed about a year ago when one of the men learned the hobby from his girlfriend. A few guys got together, and word spread. Now there are members from virtually every area high school and college. The guys crochet hats, afghans, doilies and bracelets. North High School sophomore Samuel James said they also try to make original, fun stuff like slippers. James said crocheting is addicting. University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire student Andy Pamperin said it just seemed like a cool thing to do — something that’s not normal for guys. © 2004 The Associated Press. All rights reserved. Ok, so giving blow jobs are the only thing that makes a woman a wife? If she doesn't give him head she's a bad wife? How about all the house cleaning (woman do 90% of it)? Or taking care of the kids? Tending house? I guess none of those things work in a marriage - its all about blow jobs. Give your wife a break - if she doesn't like it, then don't get resentful; instead look at everything else she does for you. Jen Arianna Frances

I'm not married that long (just about 2 years) but we've lived together in an exclusive relationship for more than 5... Time has changed our relationship, for the better (in most instances). Sex is much better because over time you understand what each other wants and have the time to experiment ways to achieve that. IMO if someone says sex is boring after they got married is because they got lazy and selfish. Jen Arianna Frances

Its my last day of work!!!! Heading back to school fulltime (for the first time in 6 years) for the fall semester. I've liked my job and they're sad to see me go. But because they're gonna roast me pretty good at my good bye party this afternoon I need to do something for them to remember me by Thoughts? Ideas? Jen Arianna Frances

This is interesting. Sounds similar to the diet I've been on for about 7 weeks now. I only have one meal a day (5 oz. animal protein and 3 servings of fresh veggies (raw or cooked)). Then 3 supplemental shakes throughout the day and lots of water. Thats it. Not as hard as I thought it would be (although the lack of carbs killed me the first 2 weeks) and I've lost 20+ pounds as a result Jen Arianna Frances

How do you stop wife from snoring without harming her?
mailin replied to cvfd1399's topic in The Bonfire
If it's a constant thing she may have sleep apnea, which is a very dangerous disorder. People who have it snore very loudly and at times stop breathing during the night. Can't hurt to mention it to her doctor next time she sees him/her. As far as stopping it, nudging her when she starts will make her stop long enough so you can get to sleep. Jen Arianna Frances -
Not always true - depends on the damage to the car. I had $120 damage to an accident earlier this year - yet almost $700 in medical bills. Yesterday the ins. co. settled with me for $1200 - less than half what I was expecting Jen Arianna Frances

Congrats on your new furbaby!!!! I'm so happy for you guys! No, she can't replace bugs, but she can create new memories! We get our new furbaby Katrina (who traveled from FL actually) at the Virginia siamese rescue shelter on Labor Day. She can't replace my sweet baby Layne, but hopefully she can fill the void thats left. Congrats again! Post pictures!!

ahhh suck it up! At least those classes sound fun! I'm stuck with 8 classes and half of which I've already done (didn't transfer to new school) and 2 math courses (which I hate)... but I can say this - all the books for my classes were under $600. Hope you didn't have to shell out all that cash yourself! That'd suck! Jen Arianna Frances

Agreed - watch yer stuff! Jen Arianna Frances

I'm pretty impulsive even though I love to plan things down to the smallest detail. I procrastinate pretty good too though... and I love to blame other people for stuff that may have been my fault On the plus side I used to be a pretty violent person when I'd get into arguments (at the drop of a hat!) and I've pretty much gotten over that. I've found getting alot of the undo stress out of my life helps me deal with these better. Life is much much easier when I'm on a schedule/routine. Jen Arianna Frances
