Something good about my dad? ha! My dad can rot as far as I'm concerned, the only good thing is that he lives far enough away for my family to forget he exists. People marvel how I turned out so normal when I had such a drunk abuser like my dad... and his mom actually asked me when my daughter is going to see him. She won't even know he exists. My father in law on the other hand, love him to pieces. We had some professional pictures taken of my daughter and had a montage made for him - he loves it

I guess it sounds lame to some, but yesterday was the first time I brought my daughter to the children's ER and she didn't have to stay the night

How Many Hrs./Wk Do You Work (and what's your position)
mailin replied to pBASEtobe's topic in The Bonfire
Software Engineer - 40/wk, at a super flexible company and I really love my job (which I wasn't able to say at previous jobs). I'm paid on the low end of the pay scale for the area (ok, really low end ), but I get lots of flexibility (aka. work from home, leave early etc.) which will help when I'm back to work and the kiddo goes to daycare. I've had this conversation with some much more experienced folks before. If you don't need ankle support to walk normally you shouldn't plan on using it during a jump because any change in the normal function of your foot/ankles will affect the way you land. Jen Arianna Frances

If I remember correctly google maps uses AJAX exclusively. I don't know much about it personally, but would think that if your web browser works for google maps it should implement AJAX correctly. Jen Arianna Frances

Yes it was Jen Arianna Frances

am I still considered a regular if I'm not jumpin' this season? You'll love Jumptown - I have to get up there this season to check out all the new digs... maybe when the little one gets a bit bigger... Jen Arianna Frances

Yes - Creative Zen Vision:M Used it on an 8 hour road trip to VT last weekend too. Its a great mp3 player - holds video, pictures and songs. Easy to use and slightly cheaper (249 vs. 269) than the iPOD video. Jen Arianna Frances
-
... or you can get a transmitter like this and use it with any mp3 player in a car Seriously, I hope people realize that almost anything you can do with an iPod can be done with some of the other ones, for cheaper and with less hassle. Jen Arianna Frances

Glad you found the source of the problem and can now avoid it. If you don't mind my asking, I think you said you've moved to the PA area - whereabouts did you find the house? Hubby and I are in talks with a realtor in the harrisburg area as my work is looking to set up an office in the area. Hell of a lot more affordable than RI, plus I don't think you could find 15.5 acres of buildable land around here... Jen Arianna Frances

That's a DRM thing unfortunately Jen Arianna Frances

I agree - have you seen the new version of media player? Personally I've always loved music match for purchasing tunes, but the new version of media player is pretty cool for organizing everything. Jen Arianna Frances

My hubby just got a creative zen. They also have the creative zen micro, but I don't know anything about it. For a harddrive player (which I won't own because I abuse the crap out of my mp3 player and would destroy a harddrive dropping it off the treadmill), its pretty cool. It holds 30 gb and allows video and pictures to be uploaded too. It has a really cool touch pad and its easy to use. I've heard it called a legitimate contender to the iPod. Personally, I believe Apple is shooting themselves in the foot with the iPod/iTunes, just as they did with the apple IIe. I won't buy one. Here's a ZEN review: http://reviews.cnet.com/Creative_ZEN_Touch_20GB/4505-6490_7-30907933.html Good luck with whatever you choose. Jen Arianna Frances

Thats exactly what my daughter had - bronchiolitis, which is what parainfluenza type 3 causes. bad news is that there is nothing that can be done for it, but at least the time to get over it is less than 7 days. Jen Arianna Frances
-
It may be parainfluenza - its common in young children in late spring/early summer. There are 3 different types - and they present with fevers and congestion - does she seem to have a cold? A simple blood test can tell if she has it or not. It took 4 days to get the results of my daughers and by then the fever had broken and she was just congested (on the mend in other words). This is what put my baby in the PICU this last time - they almost had to intubate her and put her on a ventilator again There were 3 other babies that had it there too... Can't hurt to ask...
