hehe - have to agree. Although I haven't start AFF yet, I've done 3 tandems The second one (which could be called my 2nd jump) was the worst. I was so scared I had my eyes closed for most of it. Alot of it had to do with the fact that it was my first time in a 182 and I was getting super clostraphobic. My third was by far my favorite! Oh well, live and learn. Jennifer Arianna Frances

Oh my goodness - my condolances to you! I feel so lucky to have a major that doesn't require many papers (computer programming) - because research is not my strong point... thats why this is perfect for me. In computer programming you constantly reuse stuff other people (many other people) have already done and made readily available for you! aww - thanks everyone! I enjoyed my beer/pizza/dvd evening. It was nice to have a night free to do what I really wanted for once. Actually - my hair is jet black... in order for me to get my hair that color would involve a lot of bleach - and I don't need another excuse for being lazy hehe (gee... all that bleach must have gone to my brain...) Depends on how much you wanna travel. I live in Providence and take a bus from here to VT to go skiing. They operate the bus every week starting Dec. 22 - and I've heard of daily bus' running from other areas. Renting your gear and traveling with a ski club (info usually found at ski shops in town) costs me $35 for the day (bus ride included!!!) There are cheap ways to do everything. If you want good skiing and top notch instructors you'll have to travel north. I ski NH and VT regularly (took me 7 years to learn how to ski, so I think I'm pretty good judge of instructors at Loon (NH) and Kilington (VT) - they both rocked). The new shaped ski's they teach people on now are SO much better than previous straight ones - you'll have no problem at all! Good luck! Jennifer Arianna Frances

well.... considering I'm still waiting for my AFF classes (danm, 6 months is WAY too long)... I volunteer for an organization that rescue siamese cats (my obsession for as long as I can remember) Work much too hard Go to school nights (for that programming degree that won't get me a job) Lots and Lots and Lots of arts and crafty stuff And dz.com (of course) Jennifer Arianna Frances

Hey all, My mother just called to tell me that they're stumped on what to get me this year (I'm not used to getting things I actually 'want' for christmas so I buy them for myself. If I didn't I'd end up with yet another blender for christmas - who cooks now a days anyway? ) So she asked me what I'd like. I told her something to do with skydiving. The DZ is too far away from her to buy me jump tickets... and I'm not starting AFF until March or April due to all this f__king snow. (again, not bitter at being stuck in the house for 2 days - not at all ) So I thought since I have nothing skydiving related I would have her order me something I could use during AFF - something that would be great to start with. I was thinking along the lines or gloves, goggles, alti etc. but I've no idea if thats even appropriate. Any ideas? Jennifer Arianna Frances

Didn't even think to look at the shows line up for the day when I was watching "learning to fly" this morning....
