I would love to do stand up comedy and even have some stuff rehearsed, but don't have the nerve to try it out. My daughter has a friend who does comedy at the Ice House (a local comedy club in Pasadena where a lot of comedians got their start) and he is prettty funny. I think one of these days I will get the nerve to try my comedy, but probably not for a while since I'm really shy. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

I already posted my experience, but I have a funny story related to underage drinking that I will share. When my daughter was in high school she liked to have her girlfriends over for slumber parties and rather than sleep in the house they liked to sleep in the RV (in the driveway). My husband and I were fine with this since we didn't have to put up with a group of giggling teenagers keeping us up all night. My daughter, now 22, confessed to me that the reason they liked to stay in the RV is cuz it was always stocked with alcohol. I was one of those unfortunate individuals who always looked younger than I was, so I could never drink at a bar before I was 21. Evan after I turned 21 they would accuse me of having a fake ID and refuse to serve me. I carried my birth certificate around with me for years to show along with my liscense, and somethimes that didn't even work - very frustrating. I really had to think about it, and made the decision based on my age. If I was younger my answer would have been a definite no. But since I am already 50 and have lived a full life I will say yes because by not having to work 40 hours a week and having the money to do things I'd like to do I could get a lot of quality living done in those 10 years and by the end of the 10 years I'd be 60 and would be old anyway. I just bought a weight belt from Square 1, but maxed it out at 18 1/2 lbs. Tried wearing a weight vest with my weight belt but split the seams on my jumpsuit and it was really uncomfortable. So have decided to just wear my 18 1/2 lbs. of weight and not jump with anyone who can't fall with me. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing ~ Helen Keller

If your "hubby" didn't restrict your jumping, exactly how often would you jump per month? And two, ya'll can afford a country club membership, but you can't afford some jumps??? And finally, you really call him "hubby"!!? Hell, if he didn't restrict my jumping I would quit my job and jump everyday! Since we are paying for a country club membership that is why I have to limit my jumps. No, I don't call him hubby, but can't repeat what I do sometimes call him. Glad you are okay. Sucks though to have to pay so much for insurance. Seems like whenever I've gotten into accidents, not my fault the other people had no insurance. Don't know how common this is but it pisses me off since I'm paying so much for insurance. I even had an accident where the guy rear ended me, had no insurance, and the cop wrote him a ticket for no insurance then let him get in his car and drive off. Skydiving is what I look forward to every weekend. I can't imagine ever quitting. I thought maybe I'd have to quit when I got really old, but last weekend I jumped with some really old guys, like in their 80's. I think there was some kind of old fart reunion at the DZ. Anyway, I was kind of worried jumping with these old guys, like maybe they'd have a heart attack on the jump, and damned if one of them didn't give me a kiss pass as soon as we were in freefall.
