I'm not fallingOsh. Try to keeps us straight. I commented to your post which contained these words: "I mean, doesn't deploying flares two miles above the ground seem kinda counter-productive? Why waste the flare, if it won't light anything for you?"

wheeze, gasp, choke..... Al Capone did charity work also.
-
Flares (or chaff) dropped at that height (2 miles up) are used as a defensive/countermeasure weapon, not to illuminate the ground.

This may be to simple for some people to understand so I will try to explain. The more details you give about the person the better chance the correct person will be identified. Or maybe you think there is only one Rick Bray in Georgia? I guess it could also be that some people are very touchy when it comes to the whole ASC/Skyride thing. Sorry, I have no information about Rick Bray from Georgia that use to work for ASC.

It sounds like you have already decided what you are going to do and came here hoping someone would agree with your decision. You have probably already heard advice similar to what you are getting here, from people at your DZ, but they didn't give you the answer you were looking for either. Good luck.

Didn't you say several months ago that some big news(the truth) about 9/11 was going to be release around 9/11 of this year?

What? Those ramblings are as clear as mud. Are you drunk again? And for your comment "he doesnt like you because your cock is bigger than his". You have been told to stay out of the boys locker room if you are only there to look at the naked boys pee pees. -
The Great AFF Experiment has been an Abject Failure . . .

In the U.S., people do not get their license "regardless of their capabilities" at 25 jumps. There are qualifications they must meet and a proficiency card which must be completed before a license is issued. At that point it is understood that the new A license holder is not a skygod but someone that has met or exceeded the minimum requirements and has a lot of learning to do. What do you mean by "deemed worthy"? -
If you change the length of your risers, you have to also change where your toggles are set. If you don't change your toggle settings you will have the above stated problems. With correct toggle setting, despite riser length, you shouldn't see these problems. I have used risers from 19 inches to 25 inches and after resetting the toggles, I have a normal flare.

It doesn't feel any different in free fall, but you get noticeably longer free fall times down at sea level and are going a lot slower on landing. How do you do freefall at sea level? I thought when you are at sea level, well, you were level with the sea? -
Or, is is because the down side makes them look stupid?

From your link: "The average mpg of clunkers traded in was 15.8 mpg, while the average new model purchased got 25.4 mpg, according to the Detroit News." I guess Consumer Reports got their numbers from the Detroit news. Not sure where the Detroit news got their numbers. -
I think you are still missing the point of the article. It is an article of how people die while engaging in skydiving. What factors caused the accident while skydiving, not sitting in a rocking chair and dying of natural causes. If you die from old age that would have nothing to do with skydiving. I'm done.

Do you really think an instructor is going to compromise safety if he doesn't get a tip? Try again. Also, I have had several AFF students that have tipped me (before and after the debrief) but it certainly didn't influence whether or not I would pass them on or not.

Sangi, I'm curious as to how old you are? Many of your post on this website make you sound like you are about 15 or 16 years old. Not just this thread but many others.

Scientists Worry Machines May Outsmart Man

Well … not sure if there was evidence of motive or intent on the robot’s part ... maybe the robot didn't *want* to be fixed - it thought it was fine just the way it was, but “A Swedish company has been fined 25,000 kronor ($3,000) after a malfunctioning robot attacked and almost killed one of its workers at a factory north of Stockholm.” “Thinking he had cut off the power supply, the man approached the robot with no sense of trepidation. “But the robot suddenly came to life and grabbed a tight hold of the victim's head. The man succeeded in defending himself but not before suffering serious injuries. “‘The man was very lucky. He broke four ribs and came close to losing his life,’ said Leif Johansson [the Public prosecutor in the case].” /Marg This is probably the robot that was involved in this incident. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3owLjBkEtHs -

I think you missed something. The question being ask is the ones that do die, how does it happen and for what reason? Read the link in the original post.

You are saying your "law and regulations" don't allow you to stop jumping something you have found unsafe & risky? Doesn't make sense. -
