http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minimum_wage Am I reading this wrong or is this saying raising the minimum wage hurts not helps. Less hiring, less hours/less money and raising prices. dreamdancer, I thought you were in favor of an increase in minimum wage but your post seems to counter that. Or am missing something and not reading this correctly. employers reduce their rate of hiring - so they're still hiring Reduce their rate of hiring which means they would have hired more except.... staff hours reduced - brilliant; same wages less work - more time to go out and start up your own business Agree. I wouldn't mind working less to make the same amount of money but I doubt this will help start new businesses. prices increased - not always good but not bad when reflation is wanted So prices have increased but the people have reduced hours/no pay increase so they can afford less. Ok. more productive workers - wow! how an economy actually grows (without all the financial thievery) These more productive workers making higher priced products they can't afford or can purchase less of. Brilliant.

Yes, he did. My dad was absolutely, positively going to vote for McCain. It was Palin's deportment during the campaign that got him to take a deeeeeep breath and vote for Obama. And Dad voted in a battleground state. That's all the proof I need. One person's decision to change there their vote shows causation. It must be true. I figured somebody would say that. So know this: the candidate my Dad voted for has won every single presidential election since 1952 (except 1968). Respect the power. Of course, you're deliberately evading my point: that my dad was an example of the trend, not an aberration. But whatever. Like I said, this is all the proof we need. No need for further discussions. Respect the power. LOL

I met a democrat the other day that told me a racist joke. From that I concluded that all democrats are racist.

How do you deal with an extremely stupid and inconsiderate house-mate?

First you go to Walmat and get: Two shovels, Two sacks of lime, and a Plastic Mattress Cover... Lime? Will you be drinking Corona's? I think you would get much better results using Lye. -
You mean the same McCain that's currently trying to remove a "Buy American" clause from the bill? What kinda commie is he?! Blues, Dave i could be wrong, but the guy that said we needed to remove the buy american clause from the bill was tall, skinny and black. Mccain is short hunched over and white. I think you are right. Asked about Buy American on Tuesday, President Barack Obama told Fox News that "we can't send a protectionist message." He said on ABC News that he doesn't want anything in the stimulus bill that is "going to trigger a trade war." http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123380102867150621.html?mod=googlenews_wsj

So you started this thread to tell us that you can't tell us. Excellent.

I was wondering the same thing. I thought for sure that at least Amazon would enlighten us.

It isn't really that funny. Many products throughout history had specific trade/brand names that, over time, have become a generic name to describe other similar products. Two examples that come to mind are aspirin and Kleenex. Both are names for a specific product but used generically to describe a pain reliever and a facial tissue. F-111 has become a generic name to describe 0-3 cfm ripstop nylon. To the OP. Look for something other than F-111.....errrr I mean 0-3 cfm ripstop nylon. It will cost you less in the long run because the canopy will last longer and it will have better resale.

Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson went on a camping trip. After a good meal and a bottle of wine they lay down for the night, and went to sleep. Some hours later, Holmes awoke and nudged his faithful friend. "Watson, look up at the sky and tell me what you see." Watson replied, "I see millions of stars." "What does that tell you?" Watson pondered for a minute. "Astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets." "Astrologically, I observe that Saturn is in Leo." "Horologically, I deduce that the time is approximately a quarter past three." "Theologically, I can see that God is all powerful and that we are small and insignificant." "Meteorologically, I suspect that we will have a beautiful day tomorrow." "What does it tell you, Holmes?" Holmes was silent for a minute, then spoke: "Watson, you tit. Some bastard has stolen our tent."

17 years old and interested in skydiving!
timmyfitz replied to ADEBORD's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
There are no age requirements in the FAR's for skydiving. If you can find it in the FAR's, let me know because I have searched. The age requirement is partly the BSR's(16 with parental consent) and drop zone policy. -
