Better check the record on the 1998 House vote. Pretty much along party lines as well. https://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/special/clinton/housevote/alpha.htm

The game is rigged towards the monied. The old "it takes money to make money" has never been more true.

https://www.opensecrets.org/personal-finances Just one example..... Corker, Bob (R-Tenn) net worth 2006 $32,500 net worth 2016 $69,450,025

Agreed. There's plenty to sling on both sides of the aisle.

No...what I'm saying is the Dems have to be careful to not make themselves look bad while investigating the impeachment claims. Not saying Trump hasn't stepped in it. I'm saying they've all stepped in it.

At the federal level, the impeachment process is a three-step procedure. First, the Congress investigates. This investigation typically begins in the House Judiciary Committee, but may begin elsewhere. For example, the Nixon impeachment inquiry began in the Senate Judiciary Committee. The facts that led to impeachment of Bill Clinton were first discovered in the course of an investigation by Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr. Second, the House of Representatives must pass, by a simple majority of those present and voting, articles of impeachment, which constitutea while the formal allegation or allegations. Upon passage, the defendant has been "impeached". Third, the Senate tries the accused. In the case of the impeachment of a president, the Chief Justice of the United States presides over the proceedings. For the impeachment of any other official, the Constitution is silent on who shall preside, suggesting that this role falls to the Senate's usual presiding officer, the President of the Senate who is also the Vice President of the United States. Conviction in the Senate requires a two-thirds supermajority vote of those present. The result of conviction is removal from office. I'm guessing the investigation by the HJC will take a while. Dems have to be careful not to step on their dicks while they sling shit.

I worked for a guy who swore that if Hitler would have been an American he would have been a southern baptist.

The exception...not the rule. I read this week that only 1% of the solar customers have batteries. So they found out the hard way that solar doesn't work for them when the power is off.

There IS a problem with global warming... it stopped in 1998

I asked a legit question and was made to feel like an idiot. This level of arrogance is why you are unable to understand why the conservative base won't go away. -

Since you don't seem to be able to answer a simple question I'll just go with it being another example of data being massaged to suit the message. Thanks. -

So you only need look back 30 years to say it's a new record? -
Climate Change Has been a Routine Scare Tactic Since the 1930s

Point is it's been tried before. This girl's message wasn't quite as caustic as Greta's. If you want people to get serious about doing something don't use children to berate them. As much as you'd like to believe Greta will force change she's already enjoyed her 15 minutes. -

Kicking around names for the new boat. Twin 5.7L fuel injected. I'm certain to be on her list.

Looks like not fast enough... Net-Zero Carbon Dioxide Emissions By 2050 Requires A New Nuclear Power Plant Every Day https://www.forbes.com/sites/rogerpielke/2019/09/30/net-zero-carbon-dioxide-emissions-by-2050-requires-a-new-nuclear-power-plant-every-day/#3ca45f9735f7 You all seem very quick to tear down the existing energy grid before you have a replacement. Go green if you will, but leave coal and oil until we can actually afford to lose them.

Somebody better tell Greta.

Just a reminder...no sitting POTUS has ever been removed from office by impeachment.

I have to say that she's a bit over the top.

https://www.gatesnotes.com/Energy/A-question-to-ask-about-every-climate-plan Here’s a question you should ask about every climate change plan Whenever I hear an idea for what we can do to keep global warming in check—whether it’s over a conference table or a cheeseburger—I always ask this question: “What’s your plan for steel?”
-
I didn't really know much more than the media's presentation of Gates. This was an eye opener. I've been looking for someone I could believe and trust when the subject matter was climate change. I don't think anyone can argue with the fact that Bill is really smart. I don't think his motivation when dealing with climate change is making a buck. So, for now I'll go with what Bill has to say about the problem. His work on the traveling wave reactor is promising. If only he can get the world to trust nuclear energy.

Where will they find that person?

Not a Tesla you can buy off the showroom floor...but I don't think the Porsche was either.

Absolutely...but it should b called a tie...not a new record. This is typical of the MSM slant on AGW. -

Funny how you don't hear the MSM bleeting that. Even the esteemed John fell for it.
