I found this particular text very suspicious... 1: Noel, I cannot find my journal with the vegetables cover on front. I believe it may be in your car, or I left it in the house. It has Karen's phone number, along with personal I think it might be code... Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne

H.R. 3950 - Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act
airdvr replied to Gawain's topic in Speakers Corner
The decision should be a medical decision, not a financial (based on insurance) decision. A single payer system would be best Insurance should not be a consideration. The insurance provider has nothing to offer medically; they are only there to take a cut. Obviously not a very good understanding of how insurance works. Please don't dent the planet. So, all things being equal a 400 year wait to break even? And this makes it more affordable how? Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne

H.R. 3950 - Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act
airdvr replied to Gawain's topic in Speakers Corner
But will it be less expensive? Afterall, the name of the bill talks about affordability. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne -
Facile analysis. Old people always have more costly health care, and the population of old people is growing fast. Makes sense. Still trying to understand how spending 800+ billion will save money. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne

I guess my biggest frustration with the current bill is understanding how this will save money and make HC more affordable. According to this http://liberty.pacificresearch.org/docLib/20090608_HPPv7n06_0609.pdf Since 1970, Medicare’s costs have risen 34 percent more, per patient, than the combined costs of all health care in America apart from Medicare and Medicaid. Thirty-four percent is a lot of money when talking about hundreds of billions of dollars. If Medicare’s per-patient costs had risen by only the same amount as per-patient NHE apart from Medicare and Medicaid, then, instead of costing $468 billion last year, Medicare would have cost $349 billion. That one-year savings of $119 billion is almost seven times the annual budget of NASA and is more than $1,000 per American family. Most Americans can probably think of things they’d rather do with that extra $1,000 each year than give it to the IRS to subsidize Medicare’s inefficiencies. Please don't dent the planet. Using that line of thinking we should bring back bellybands and blast handles. Think of how affordable the rigs would be. Bellybands??? I have heard them called belly "warts" but not bands I even have a 100 jumps using (but never deploying) them

I guessed right, I guessed right

I agree with you. I think Glenn Beck is shouting "FIRE!" in a crowded theater. If you were in the theater and it was on fire would you not want someone to tell you that it was on fire? You'd want somebody with a voice of authority directing people to calmly leave the theater in an orderly fashion; not start a panic. Quade...do you think Beck is dangerous? To bust into the top 10 we'd need to add...slightly less than 2 years to our average. You really think the HC bill is going to do that? https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/rankorder/2102rank.html Take a good look at #49 and up. I wasn't aware that the EU was it's own country now. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne -

Affordable option? I think not. "AARP has not endorsed any plan at this point," said Cheryl Matheis, AARP VP for Social Impact. Please. 3rd world countries. Data please. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne -
You may think that but TK is on record with a converse opinion. Yep. His opinion might change when gov't starts forcing insurance coverage down the throat of his business. And I'm certain they'd be real interested in whether his independent contractors are actually employees. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne

Hmmm...one wonders why you'd be so offended Dude...you were in such a hurry to do some right-bashing that you either didn't notice it was the Onion or didn't care. Either way...you came off looking foolish and the more you try to defend yourself the worse it gets. I guess that's what bothers me about your ILK, as Jeannie puts it. Even the most simple error on your part just can't be admitted. KEWL... I learn't yall a word.. all three letterrs of it..... want to work on some bigger words next week? Typical...if you only realized how small and bitter responses like that make you look. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne
