I'm not talking going all socialist here so don't get your panties in a bunch. I've also been around long enough to know that most folks who accumulate that kind of wealth didn't do it through channels available to you and I, and have a history of making up the rules as they go. It's the reason the tax code is 16,000+ pages and DC is infested with lobbiests. A little off topic, but I wonder how many people actually PAY the listed price for 1st class...most seem to be travel miles upgrades and the like. The cost for 1st is not justified IMO by the bigger chair, free drinks and cloth napkins with the gruel. On 2 seperate occasions we were offered an upgrade to 1st class. $150/seat which would have put the fare at $575ish. Since it was only a 4 hour flight we declined. But I believe the posted fares for 1st class on those flights was a bit north of $1000. Please don't dent the planet. Destinations by Roxanne

Having just returned from 8 days in the Caribbean I have to say that I saw some of the most beautiful ocean-going vessels. I mean wow! Beyond comprehension. I noticed some interesting trends. Registry to either the Caymans or Jaluit. I know where the Caymans are but Jaluit? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaluit_Atoll Looks like a way to dodge taxes to me. I'm certain if I was to research further I'd find some proof. And of course we know how hides cash in the Caymans. Anyways, I've change my mind on taxation of millionaires. Exactly! I saw people with your standard wheeled carryon and a second backpack. I saw people with 3 carry ons...one guy blatantly had 4. Combine this with the 'free for all' boarding system and it takes forever to get from the tunnel into the plane if you're in the last 3rd of the plane. Not to mention that by then, all of the OH storage is gone. I voiced my displeasure to a flight attendant and she quickly pulled the ' you do want to go to Pittsburgh don't you?' card on me so I shut up as best I could. I don't care for Philly all that much. Ahhh it is heartwarming to see there are still tall ship cruises available. I did about 9 trips on the "barefoot" cruises over the years ( different company) but that company went down the tubes it seems in the last 10 years. I loved those cruises. They went to out of the way distinctly untouristed places... you could climb the rigging and help sail if you wished... or just get an awsum view from the top. Nowadays I would perfer to just charter a bareboat with a few friends for a week or two and sail to a few very untouristed places that whall remain unnamed

It's revenue not received. Only those who are deluded in DC would be so brazen as to say a tax cut costs them. Medicare, Medicaid, SS, Defense...these are costs. Taxes are income.
